Think I'll be picking up the UK R2 anyhow but doesn't the French release have forced French subs during the bonus materials?
Looking at the comparisons shots at DVDBeaver, am really disappointed with how the new image is soft and lacking full detail

No forced subs on the extras I've watched, presumably none on the rest as well.Originally Posted by Squirrel God

Those screenshots are just bad. They do not serve the new image well. The image quality on this release is really the best Lost Highway has ever looked on a dvd so far. Trust me.Originally Posted by Squirrel God

Just got mine in the mail today from amazon.fr. It got here faster than my order from Deepdiscountdvd which I ordered two days earlier and with a shipping time of 3 to 5 days (Lost Highway was a 10 to 12 day). I would really recommend buying from amazon.fr not only was it faster than most domestic e-tailers, but it came in excellent quality and was the cheapest I had seen all over the net. It was listed as 22.63 but came out to 18.92 when I put it in my cart (dunno why but I’m not complaining). The only complaint I have was shipping price which came out to almost 9 bucks but seeing as every other French e-tailer is just as much when delivering to the U.S. I didn't mind.

You were probably logged in when you did so and the taxes got removed as you're not an EU resident. It's common to display prices with taxes here, whereas I know you guys show prices before tax.Originally Posted by Harry Lime

I ordered it from Amazon.Fr and living in Barcelona, Spain the dvd cost me 30.15 euros which is around $36. Sounds like you guys living in the states got it cheaper even with a higher shipping cost.
It will be worth it as I have waited a long time for this movie to actually get a decent release.

I just ordered it from amazon.fr as well, along with the 3-disc Ultimate Edition of Dune. Total came to 61 euros with express shipping, but that's because I'm a sucker that way, and I want it to arrive before the R1 release of Dune, so I'm not tempted to buy that. Now I just need to find someone who will take my Australian copy of Lost Highway...

Yea. I got it today (The Lost Highway from Amazon.fr). I ordered this on Sunday. Yet, I ordered the dollar box last Friday over at Amazon.de and I was saying that I still haven't gotten it yet.

got my copy today. I just skimmed through a few scenes. It definitely looks better than the Australian disc, but I find the image is a bit too bright most of the time. My girlfriend noted that it looked a little blurry, but I didn't notice that as much. The DTS track is pretty sweet (I've never heard Lost Highway in anything but 2.0 before), but dialogue sounded a little muffled in some scenes, but great in others. That could be how it was intended though. Overall, I'm glad I now have this and can get rid of my Australian copy.

are there any articles or previews of the UK port thats coming out in february? i wanna know if there will be any more extra material on that not present in the french version. is it worth it to just wait for that edition, since i'm in the US? it'll be a few bucks cheaper too, i imagine

Shipping is far more reasonable than Amazon Fr, but are they reliable?

Some friends of mine are going to Paris in a few weeks. I'm going to ask them to pick this up for me.

Doesn't sound like there is a difference between the UK SE and the French LE, other than the booklet. Can anyone (other than dvdcompare) confirm?
