I just saw it last night (and now Im selling it elsewhere in the forums (hint hint). It had some good scares but took a while to get going. It was very claustrophobic and reminded me a lot of the dark scenes from pitch black. The sound was kick ass. I'd recommend it. Mark

Hi everyone!

I have a question to whom who saw this DVD. Is the picture anamorfed? And how is the quality of the picture?

Thanks in advance!

At the end of the day I wasn't upset I watched it more than I hoped for more. Seeing as how this is buzzing I won't have a problem selling on Ebay anyhow, so it's all fine over here.
Pretty much my reaction. Decent movie. I would recommend it to people, but nothing very special. Interesting setting, it did give you the creeps in an uncomfortable sort of way. But that soon was lost once the movie shifted gears into a typical horror film where logic was tossed out the window (example: for being set in a cave, there was certainly a lot of light on the characters) and the story comes to a hault in favor of a series of action/horror events.

The hype is that its a low-budget film from England and most Americans can't see it. So thus, you can be cooler than your friends by saying that you've seen this really great film that they can't.

For me, it just carried the mood/atmosphere really, really well. Agreeably the last 30 minutes could have been better, but weren't bad. That and I had no idea what kind of movie it was going in. Overall though, I just really enjoyed it.

Anyone know if theres an NTSC DVD of the movie available anywhere in the world?

For those of you who were disappointed in the film, any chance you're looking to sell?

I have a single disc copy of it that I'd sell or trade. I like it so well I bought the 2 disc version. I can't tell for sure, but mine may have been a rental. I bought it off an ebay seller.

I bought the following version from CDWOW:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B...lance&n=283926

I'm not sure what the difference is other than the cover and the release date. Maybe the one that I bought is the only with with the slip cover. I bet that's it since the picture of the one at the above link is a picture of my slipcover, and the picture of the other one is the picture of my actual DVD case that goes in the slipcover. You can pick up the one that I bought for only $13.95/shipped at CDWOW using the $2/off link, and even less if you have any vouchers.

Can anybody tell me for sure, which version is this?

The 2-disc set is pictured, but no features are listed. And they have a picture of a slightly different release (with features listed) elsewhere on their site for more money.

Peep, mine says at the top, 2 disc special edition (which it is.) Does have special features!

The Rated 18 symbolys are on the opposite side. And on the back it says not for rental. It also lists the special features.

Just a comment or two...

I've had this flick for some time, and quite like it.
Watched it twice and will undoubtably watch it again.

If viewed like a "popcorn-flick", it's possible to completely miss a couple of sub-plots, that explain a few of the character's actions, further on... and in the end.

Well done & well filmed, the film is quite dark (very dimly lit), giving the illusion of seclusion, with only the dying battery-powered light they carry, to see them thru.
Really bothered my little claustrophobic-nerve

Does anyone know for sure if the German 2-disc set has english dolby digital 5.1 EX and english dts 6.1 ES soundtracks? DVD compare says yes but CD now lists only german dts 6.1 , english and german 5.1 EX.

It claims full bitrate, but doesnt sound full bitrate.
It sounds quite weak compared to say, some Hong Kong half-bit DTS tracks.

The extras are OK, 40 minute making of, which is pretty standard,
outtakes, deleted scenes, etc. havent gotten around to the commentaries yet.

apparently the americans really love this film. i thought it was ok. but nothing really special. better than some jeeper creepers crap. and it's great the way it's so darn dark. i like the ending too. nice to see they didnt really hold back on the gore. but it could have been alot better.

what would you have done different to make it better? Not being a jerk..being serious... People tend to make that statement a lot about certain films but dont say what they would change. I think it would make for an interesting thread.

I disagree about how it sounds... Hong Kong DTS IMO are just turned up and sound hollow for the most part some are good but most are not on par with the DD 5.1 the DTS logo is just slapped on there. I thought the sound rocked...
