I would have liked the 3 disk, but what the heck .. haven't bought anything in awhile and I had a fairly successful splurge.

Just received the DVD and I was pleasantly surprised. For $4.99, I was expecting something along the lines of the average Public Domain release but the transfer is pretty nice - crisp and not blurry or dark. The region 1 Image DVD is OOP but I can't see it being much better than this release. The subtitles are also easy to read.The print is not restored and has some damage, but all in all a very nice DVD. A great buy!

Really? It's by Panmedia. I've never known HKflix to sell bootlegs, either. I've been looking for this movie forever, and have been very careful to buy a legit copy. If it's new I don't think asiandvdguide would have it yet.

Asiandvdguide doesn't have it listed, it was discussed in their forum and identified as a bootleg. The thread was subsequently deleted. http://forum.hkcinemagic.com/index.p...iew=getnewpost has another discussion (if you speak French). Alternatively, do a google search for Panmedia + bootleg.

http://p088.ezboard.com/fhongkongdvd...cID=7839.topic mentions another - apparently bootleg - title carried by hkflix.

Other Panmedia titles in the hkflix catalogue even indicate that in some cases they use e.g. the artwork of legit French DVDs for their release.
