Just scored the R3 The Incredibles Limited box with Jack-Jack doll over at DVDdetective. As of 11:20am est, they have one left for those interested. $70
Also picked up the R3 Limited Tin of Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers at the same site for $35 I swear, you can check out that site every day for months and not come across some of the harder to find sets and then one day, blam .. there it is. Beautiful thing. All arrived in reasonable time from their respective warehouses except for dvdheaven, sort of an accident on my part but they could have cleared it up easily. Mix up with my order, it got cancelled but i was already charged and after countless e-mails they couldn't understand that I paid already. 2 weeks after being charged and they're just shipping to me *shrug* |

For $4.99, I was expecting something along the lines of the average Public Domain release but the transfer is pretty nice - crisp and not blurry or dark. The region 1 Image DVD is OOP but I can't see it being much better than this release. The subtitles are also easy to read.The print is not restored and has some damage, but all in all a very nice DVD. A great buy!

Asiandvdguide doesn't have it listed, it was discussed in their forum and identified as a bootleg. The thread was subsequently deleted. http://forum.hkcinemagic.com/index.p...iew=getnewpost has another discussion (if you speak French). Alternatively, do a google search for Panmedia + bootleg.
http://p088.ezboard.com/fhongkongdvd...cID=7839.topic mentions another - apparently bootleg - title carried by hkflix. Other Panmedia titles in the hkflix catalogue even indicate that in some cases they use e.g. the artwork of legit French DVDs for their release. |
