the 4400 region 1 vs region 2?

HI all,

Just joined the forum - glad to be part of the community

I'm asking the question above as im going to purchase this title, but while researching i found that the region 1 release has a total run time of 256 minutes while the region 2 release has a total run time of 380 minutes....i don't know if this is a printing error, but 2 websites i have looked at claim that the region 2 release runs to 380 minutes. Any ideas??? Maybe the region two release has a few more episodes? (unlikely). Any comments would be appreciated

Thanks
Nick

Welcome to DVDtalk Generally anything to do w/ non-R1 stuff (even comparisons like this) goes into the International Forum... you're more likely to get an answer quicker in there

R2 contains 6 episodes and no extras according to this review

R1 contains 5 episodes and no extras according to this review

However, the pilot episode was actually presented as 2 episodes in the UK and was squashed together into a 2-hour "movie" in the US.

The releases look the same to me. The runtime differences are most likely down to a misprinting on one of the regions. If not, the only thing I can think of is that the UK episodes were extended, a bit like the 24 S1 episodes. That'd have to be one huge extension though!
