The Amicus Collection

I did a search of the forums for any discussion on this boxset, but didn't come across any, so I apologize if I somehow missed a discussion regarding this collection.

I read all the horror stories regarding this collection....loose discs and the like. I had been asking for this collection since last Christmas and my girlfriend surprised me with the collection, today....said I have to consider this an early Christmas gift, but because of the problems, she wanted me to check them out.

Dr Terror's House of Horrors appeared to be the only disc with a scratch, but it played through without a glitch. I am now watching, Asylum and the picture almost seems to be 'shadowy', if that's a proper description.....the picture just doesn't appear to 'flow' properly. Also, when accessing the bonus features for Asylum, each bio was only one page...is this correct? The main page says to access the following pages to each bio with the 'right' arrow, but nothing more would happen, so I'm assuming there might have been just one page per person? Also, in the gallery section each still would forward after 4 seconds, as described on the front page, but the disc stops with a still where Richard Todd is about to hack his wife with the axe.....is this the final photo in the gallery?

I'm working my way through each disc, tonight and hope if any discs are bad, this may be the only one. Also, will Anchor Bay UK replace a single disc and how involved and long of a process is it to receive a replacement? I am located in the U.S.

Thanks for any info!
