It's not like you are going to find it anywhere else, or at least the chances are very slim. Why would you cancel?

Not sure if this relates to your issue but thedvdetective just posted this:

from thedvdetective.com forum

Here is the deal on "Fighter" LE and why it's so hard to get.

As you know there were only 2000 released. On top of that, companies are being required to buy 5 regular editions in order to get 1 limited edition. So to order only limited editions is not possible for the Korean companies, as you'd be stuck with a lot of regular editions you may not be able to sell.

I'm guessing that people who have pre-ordered the LE's from some of the other sites out there, may not get them.

i just got mine from the store(living in korea it's a little easier to get my hands on one) and it's an amazing package. I saw the movie in the theatre and thought it was ok but the LE definately made it worth buying.

Strange. I am sure that I added it to my cart successfully before, but when I tried to then, I got the same error. Maybe they are allocating them amongst the different sites somehow?

I got an email from Yesasia saying that it was available now, but when I went there, they were all gone. Not much point to sign up to get notified when a title is released if you don't get the email until after it its all sold out.

I have to agree with puzzlefighter99.
I too live in Seoul and I picked up a copy today.
I was pleasantly surprised by the set.
The movie is average at best but the set is well worth the money!

al_snugs1972.. great! lucky you.. congrats..

anyone knows.. how come the FITW LE set is very limited in online stores (aside from the previously discussed reasons)? and another question, though OT: is it true that Warner Korea has produced X000 units of TROY LE Korean Release and allot only 2000 units for online sale? do you still have both sets (Fighter and Troy LE) in local stores?

movieking, i emailed them. same sentiments here..

I saw some FITW LE's for sale but no Troy LE's. I got a Troy LE because I had my preorder ticket stub but I did not see any copies out on the shelves.

al, where did you pick the Troy LE? if anything Fighter in the Wind seems to be in great abundance compared to Troy(I think the Troy LE was limited to 2000 total). I got extremely lucky and managed to pick up two copies of Troy at Synara Records for 38000(which is about $35). My usual favorite place to pick up DVDs, Technomart, didn't have either in stock.
On a side note-the back of the FITW LE should have the autograph of the lead actor but on some boxes some were empty-something to watch out for.

Hi puzzlefighter99. I got my Troy LE from Technomart. Technomart is my favorite place to shop as well. I always buy from the same couple so they save me a copy of anything special that comes out. Luckily my FITW LE has the autograph. I was wondering if that was special or on all the sets.

Since I posted earlier that DVDAsian.com cancelled my order due to it being no longer available, I went on an exhaustive search to find a merchant that had it...

'Lo and behold, on the 12th I found a site called Annyoung, based in California that does have it. I purchased it for $34.95 + 3.99 U.S. Priority. The price has since gone up to $39.95, so get it while you still can. Mine shipped yesterday.

[edit]
They also have the Taegukgi Special Edition Box for $32.95 in stock for those that missed out.
[/edit]

They answered my three or four emails regarding the limited availability of it and status of my order in a very timely manner (generally within an hour or two).

Since my item shipped and tracks with USPS, I have nothing to complain about... unless it arrives broken in pieces. In which case, yelling will ensue.

Not to mention, if you're in the LA area, they have a physical store located in Buena Park.
