Now for a rant against the Studio's HV Dept's
IMHO, it's misuse by the home video departments to use the terms unrated, when all there doing is adding material that hasn't been approved by the rating's board...
And, uncut to denote a movie that met the boards approval for an r rating, without cuts being made. For that matter "Benji, Unleased" could have an "uncut version" on video.
Bottomline is those terms have a universal meaning to the consumer and to "play upon" that meaning to denote something that the public has grown to expect (but is not getting) falls under deception.

So, did anyone actually get this boxset? If so please let us know if there are differences on the disc. In previous posts its already been said that the movie is the same. Are the extras any better than the R1 DVD? Thanks.

So in the Japanese volume 1 and 2 set [not the one with the keychain and stuff] is volume 1 the Japanese cut or the American cut? I know in the one with the keychain and stuff it's the American cut, but I don't want the American cut and I don't need all the non-disc extras.
Thanks for any info. If anyone else wants to know and no one knows, I could go look. The release day is tomorrow from what I've seen so some stores will put it on shelves today.

I got shipping confirmation from Amazon this morning. DHL Tracking shows the package was picked up at Tokyo 9:29 PM on 10/7/04.

man, i didn't realize paul was still in business! i have a couple of his other cases and although, i don't like how the edges are, they're still pretty nice cases. thanks for the link.
the star wars case is pretty cool... since i had to rip my case to get the rebate, it'll make a nice replacement. lord of the rings... argh!!! too many.
