I just bought this as soon as I saw the topic. The KB1 set had more extras, I can't see why the KB2 wouldn't have more extras. It doesn't really bother me, though, because I just want the two sets side by side. Besides, that coffin figure is so cool.

Thanks for the link, Hardtack. You can also use the coupon code AMZNAFCCNCGC for an additional 500 yen off.

Once I determine whether the set ordered from HMV.co.jp and Amazon.co.jp are the same, I intend to cancel whichever one turns out to be more expensive total (DVD+shipping). If there isn't much difference in cost between the two, I might go with HMV since I normally get the package within 3 days (to U.S.) via Fedex or Airborne Express (I don't recall which is used).

Ok, cool, Amazon has it listed now too. I still don't understand why CDJapan is charging more. They usually charge the exact Japanese retail price. Maybe they got the wrong information?

Thanks for the code MarkAtHome, but I believe that it is for first time customers only and so I do not qualify... not to worry though, it is still a very good price regardless.

Amazon Japan - 6,080 yen (it looks as though Amazon may now remove the tax from foreign orders as this shows at 6,384 yen on the item's page, but 6,080 in my order - so, this is a done deal)
Ah damn, 6080 yen is making this more tempting for me. I might have to get this just to have both box sets. I wish I wasn't such a collector/completist, because I've already spent about $300-$400.00 on Kill Bill crap over the past several months.

Yes, I was surprised that I was considered a new customer -- my "home" site is amazon.com, but when I've bought from the UK or Canada, the site "knew" me and was considered a returning customer -- not so with Amazon.co.jp, so the coupon worked.

Can you, or anyone else, confirm that the sets from HMV.co.jp and Amazon.co.jp are the same? Here are the two links I purchased from:

http://www.hmv.co.jp...
http://www.amazon.co.jp...

I need to cancel one of them... :-)

If I were you I would wait until Amazon are showing full details of the set they are offering... you have plenty of time in which to cancel as neither site charges until shipment, I believe.

Past history tells us, HMV will charge your more than Amazon for shipping.

FWIW, CDJapan lists 3 versions of it, only one having both Vol.1 and Vol.2 . To wit...

Got an email from Cdjapan, said they got wrong information. The KB1 USA version isn't included. They lowered the price to 7600 yen. Still more expensive than amazon or HMV, though. At least I'll get the package the day after it's sent (see, living in Korea DOES have its advantages).

It looks like Amazon Japan have now upped their price on the Premium Box Set as it is now listed with a price of 7,980 yen (so far, my purchase price of 6,080 yen still stands and hopefully they won't try to change it).
