I have the German R2, and it's OAR. As well as DD 5.1. I think it's the best version out currently. I got mine from Amazon.de.

OAR, decent picture, and decent sound.

The Australian release is listed as R4 but it's actually R0, but it's PAL. It's anamorphic. Can't comment on how it compares to Germany's as I haven't seen it but it seems pretty close to the R2 brit one.

The Australian disc is poor. As is the UK disc. The Canadian disc is disgusting.

The best with -a thunderous 5.1 soundtrack and great anamorphic image- is the German disc It's now available quite cheap (if you look around) and has been rereleased in a keepcase (was a super jewel case).

I'm told the Portuguese disc is good but I can't confirm it.

NBC-Vivendi-Universal now firmly own the USA rights, but how long can a fan wait? Anyway, there's no need because I think the German disc is terrific.

I might

Where's the fun in me doing all the work?

Best thing do to is get a co-buy to help with the shipping or sell 'em for $$$s on Ebay and just get them from Amazon.de or www.xploitedcinema.com

If you want the disc quick and want excellent Amazon.com style quality service get it from Amazon.de

If you want to wait and get messed about I'll find you it for $2 less.

I bet some people want it for $2 less?

Are you in the USA? I think the new Buena Vista release is exactly the same 2 disc set (some people prefer the UK packaging (big fold out poster) though).

I watched the German Release from Nicheflix and the quality and sound were both quite good.
