A colleague of mine from Marsille has informed me that AGENTS SECRETS has gotten a preliminary release date-November 2004. No exact date or technical specs as of yet but I will post here as soon as I hear more from him (or find out through other channels).
Very much looking forward to the latest work of the enigmatic duo Bellucci/Cassel

I sure will. I am very much looking forward to Agents Secrets as well. My friends have had some decent things to say about it.
As to Irreversible...I was the one that started the first thread on this forum discussing Irreversible (during the times when Hendrik actually bother to post here). I think that it is a very difficult film yet superb in many respects. I sent a review of the Canadian disc to Nicheflix but don't know why it is not up on their site yet.

For you who don't know, but L'Appartement is brilliant. Better than Irreversible, which I found very disturbing yet excellent.

Is there a way we could get a threat of French DVDs that have subtitles in English, similar to the Italian one? Whatever happened to that list? i guess there are too many stickys but it would be a valuable resource. I would help but I only have 3 french dvds. If any one wants a Spanish one (Spain R2) I'll be willing to help.

This would be an enormous project that will take hours and hours of work.I keep a fairly big database on my computer, plus my collection, of European product with subs (Italian, French, Spanish, a good number of Scandinavian dvds) so if you need any specific info you could send me an email and I will try to confirm for you. As to new and upcoming releases in France... I have 3 very good contacts. Sadly quite often the studios there give incorrect information as far as English subs (example: Massi gave the incorrect info that Nathalie will offer subs when in fact the disc does not have them...yet, nearly every French store still have them listed).
Cheers,

Thanks, Pro-B... yep, I've been away for some time, tied up with work and all sorts of other things that have led to me spending less time online. When able, I've still been quickly checking the forums (and still enjoying the many useful Euro-oriented posts made by yourself & many others).
Anyway, I'm still picking up DVDs... totally off topic, but in the past couple of weeks I've seen a couple of films in French cinemas that'll no doubt interest you (and others) when they make their way to disc: Assayas' "Clean" and Ozon's "5x2". "Clean" is especially good. Next month sees the new Jean-Pierre Jeunet film and "Arsene Lupin" both open here, so both should be worth a look.
So... I'm aware this post I've just made so far has nothing to do with Cassell/Bellucci - so how about a bit of info: the fantastic 2-disc "Dobermann" (no English subs) can currently be had in French Virgin Megastores for only €15 (or as part of a 2/€30 in many other stores). Quite a bargain for anyone that can get to one of those stores.
Anyway, I'll make more of an effort to get posting again in the months ahead...
