It's true Pelayu, I didn't notice that.

Probably I will be getting this DVD on the day of release, so I will post asap the exact audio specs.

I know that the Spanish edition of Dogville is just streeting. Could someone please give a review when they get it of how good the discs are, extra features, transfer, etc. I have the Korean disc, and while it is convenient to have because it is R0, I would like to get something with more extras and English subtitles.

It was released yesterday in Spain, but did not arrive to my city, so I reserved it and they will call me when it arrives (probably not before next monday).

Anyway, there are two new reviews of the film at DVD-Reviews.net and ZonaDVD.

None of them specifies exactly the audio options, but it seems that there is Dolby Digital 5.0 instead of 5.1 in both English and Spanish, but, according to the second review, it is a very "soft" audio track (both languages), with almost no use of all channels but the central one.

Edit: I forgot to mention that ZonaDVD review mentions that there are two missing extra features (audiocommentary on the special effects featurette & Dogville test):

únicamente le faltan los audiocomentarios sobre la featurette de efectos especiales y sobre Dogville Test.

Danish R2 vs. Region 1

Does anyone know how the Danish R2 stacks up to the Region 1 release in August? I looked on amazon.com & a few other websites and can't seem to find a comprehensive list of extras, or maybe the few extras they list is the complete listing. Also I think the region 1 might only be a 1 disc? Any help would be appreciated. Aloha.

Bubble, I believe the Lion's Gate R1 will not have some extras such as the Confessions doc. Shame on them! It's a no go as far as I'm concerned.

Sorry for the delay but I have the details about the Spanish edition audio options:

- The "extended cut" has a DD5.0 English track

- The "cinematographic cut" has only DD2.0

So, I would go for the Spanish edition as this cut of the film seems not available elsewhere.

Btw, there is now a review about the disappointing r1 DVD.

Is the Spanish version the only one with an extended cut of the film? Does the Danish version only have the theatrical release?

No, it is the only one with the shorter cinematographic cut (if I am not wrong).
