Question about Korean Altomedia box sets

Anyone have these sets? I just received the Fellini, the Truffaut, and the Herzog.

I bought them for myself and have since been reminded of a birthday I've forgotten that's approaching fast. One of them would be good for a gift. However, my friend doesn't have a region free player.

So, in short, I haven't opened these yet... can anyone tell me what regions the sets are?

The web site says Herzog and Fellini are all region and that the Truffaut is R3. Are these listings correct? I'd hate to give him something and then have to take it back because it won't play for him.

Also, does anyone have that Director Of 20th Century Documentary Collection? If so, can you describe it a bit better than koreandvds.com? Their site doesn't say much, not even how many discs it is. Is it short films? Interviews? Wha?

Thanks!

Eric,

Thanks for the information.

Like a kid in a candy store, I couldn't wait to find out and ended up opening the sets. You're correct about the Herzog and the Truffaut, but not the Fellini. It's all region even though the cases indicate R3.

Thanks for the info about the Director series. Though I won't be buying it as nothing's in English (or subbed).

Thanks!

Hey mensachicken,
Can you tell me if "A Self-Potrait Of Federico Fellini" has English subs?

Thanks

It does. However, the other docu on that disc, Fellini Passed in the Memory, is in Italian with no English subtitles.
