A Touch of Zen on DVD
I see that a new dvd of this film has come out in the UK, my question is which is the best version of this out on dvd? I see two other releases, a Tai Seng and another Korean release. If anyone has any of these and can comment on them that would be great.

I have the US release of the Tai Seng version. Pretty mediocre release. Widescreen, but non-anamorphic. The picture is maybe better and sharper than a VHS, but not much. The daylight scenes are passable, but the night scenes are pretty dark.
Too bad---this is the single greatest martial arts movie ever made, IMO. If any film deserves a magnificent restoration and 2-disc special edition DVD, this is it.
Here's a good review:

Thanks for the info, hopefully the UK version is better but I don't see any reviews for it yet, and no one seems to have gotten the disc to give some impressions of it.
