I just thought I'd let you guys know that while I was pricing a new motherboard, I saw that www.newegg.com has the cyberhome 500 for $75 + $10 Fedex shipping. Still a good deal on a good cheap player...

and no one seemed at all interested.
The price has come down $5.00 since then.
newegg.com had great service.

And I have no idea what I searched, but I didn't see a thread...oh well, I'll just eat more bandwidth...woohoo! I'm like Pac-Man on some power pellets chewing up that server space!

If you intend to use Progressive Scan feature of this player with a HDTV then I would suggest that you purchase the player from Argus Electronic otherwise you may end up with a player where the Progressive Scan does not work and you will have to send it in to Argus Electronics to get a replacement player.
More information about this player can found at :

Thats a good thing because i'm a student film maker and i do lots of my own stuff on DVD, and my current Toshiba plays them...but at that price I might just go ahead and keep both players, so i'd have 3 in the house (ps2)
