How many are interested in "The Dam Busters" 1954 R2?

True story of how the R.A.F. dropped 'bouncing' bombs on the water, to blow up the giant dams in order to flood german hydro-electric power plants. Germany during World War 2 would really slow down the war machine, if the power plants were destroyed by the thousands of tons of water, gushing out and down on them.

It will release on May 20. I don't know the OAR since it's only 1 year past the cinemascope "The Robe" in 1953. Starring Michael Redgrave and Richard Todd with Robert Shaw this is a true story, and has some great marches in the music soundtrack. I have had the Vhs movie of it for about 14 years, it action is great once you get past the building and testing of the bomb casing.

Spoiler:
56 men were killed besides the multi-engine aircraft they flew, while breaching 2 out of 3 dams that were their target; archival footage is seen on the testing of the bombs.

It's a great movie, yes indeed... but it's already been released on DVD by Warner as part of "The British War DVD Collection" (along with "Ice Cold in Alex", "The Colditz Story" and "The Cruel Sea").

Since they're probably using the same transfers and just issuing the discs separately, the specs are:
Colditz Story - anamorphic 1.66:1, avg bitrate 5.48
Ice Cold in Alex - anamorphic 1.66:1, avg bitrate 4.24
Dam Busters - 4:3, avg bitrate 4.34
Cruel Sea - 4:3, avg bitrate 4.34

Do they contain English subtitles?

1954 THEM and others past the Widescreen the Robe in 1953 are still industry standard

I would think it it would come out as a industry standard just as THEM was in 1954. 20,000 Leagues is 2.55:1 OAR coming out on May 20. First good wide screen I can remember was 1956 Forbidden Planet, I seen in Capital Movie Theater for 25¢ in my home town of Jim Thorpe, PA.

I want it for my Vhs has seen its days of watching the true story, I liked Richard Todd in that movie. Kenneth More was good in "Sink The Bismark" and "A Night to Remember" there is a lot of british actors and actress's I like like Dianna Rigg in "The Avengers" and as Mrs. James Bond guunned down as a bullet hit her between the eyes, from the not dead yet Blowfelt of S.P.E.C.T.R.E. Honor Blackman from The Avengers" and " A Night to Remember" by Walter Lord.

"The Dam Busters" was a thriller after the casing was good enough then all action. I want it, but I don't want the other films.
