The email I got this morning was like this:

"I have contacted the distributor, and was informed that the item would not come out until early next month. As to the exact release date, they could not tell us for sure. Anyway once the item is available, we will send your order out."

Go figure...

I was going to wait for the Extended Edition but now...ah screw it. I'm ordering the DTS version from DDDHouse.

Any news on this? Any sighting of this 120-min version on ebay? I tried searching, but didn't find anyone carrying this on ebay.

You will be very lucky if it's out early next month. Actually it won't. From my source, It's postponed again, to the end of May or early of June.

I wish I didn't get the Edco R3. Anyways, they told me two weeks with no exact date. So, wait we must.

Curiouser and curiouser. Anybody know why it keeps being postponed. Problems with editing? Licensing? Doesn't really matter but there have been at least two "definite" release dates.

There was only one "definite" release date, it was April 1st.

Postpone is for selling more copies of theatrical version DVD.

I'd be interested in getting the extended cut, as well, when it's released. Please post any details when they become available. Thanks!

Who put out a "definite" release date of April 1st? I thought it was just AV89 taking orders from rubes who think they'll get it quicker by ordering from the first place that lists it. Now AV89 just has to keep saying "its been postponed" or "we aren't sure exactly" until its actually released.

Is there a LEGIT release of "Hero" that is Region Zer0? Is the Extded Version or DTS R0? I can't play R3s but I really want this film.

The Collectors doesnt list English subs on av89. But there is right?

Also, can I find the Collectors edition on eBay? I'm in Canada so it isnt worth to order from av89.

So the Extended Version is not Region 0?

Can someone please retitle this thread? I keep checking here thinking that maybe it's finally been released or at least someone would have some real information about, but after 37 post, Hero 120-min version is still NOT available.

The Chinese theatrical release of Hero was heavily cut to suit American tastes, thanks to pressure from Miramax. May they all burn in Hell. I don't care how many times it's delayed; the extended version (in other words, the REAL version; the ONLY legitimate incarnation of the film) is the only one I am remotely interested in seeing.

Originally it was "2 or 3 weeks after the theatrical version" then it was "April 1st", then it was "late April". I doubt that it's going to make that deadline, so after that who knows.

I have the Region 3 EDKO 2-disc edition. Does anyone have this one? On the 2nd disc, on the disc itself, it lists the menus. One says "hidden menu", but I cannot find it. Does anyone know where this is???

On the main menu screen, press "5" on your remote.

www.av89.com is back up but the English language option is no longer available. And the extended version of Hero is no longer listed.
Anybody know what happened?

Someone at another forum got a letter from av89.com saying there was some copyright issue and weren't sure the disk would be available.
