I have dealt with this retailer once before. They have the annoying habit of placing their stickers on the DVD and VCD cases they send you, but otherwise I'd say they're on the level. One VCD I received from them had horrendous picture quality that screamed "bootleg" but I could be wrong since pretty much all VCDs have cruddy picture, and the other stuff I got from them (2 DVDs and 1 other VCD) seemed 100% legit. They have a HUGE selection of stuff for Asian cinephiles, and they ship promptly (of course, I live about 15 miles from their address so it's no wonder I got my stuff in a couple of days).

I'm not sure what's up with the first listing, there...looks like a movie but it's not on the Hong Kong Movie Database (www.hkmdb.com) and imdb is down as of this writing. The TV mini-series (which, at 84 episodes on 28 DVDs, is really not so "mini") has removable English subtitles and is not region coded, but requires PAL-compatible equipment (it's listed as NTSC on that particular website, but I've read elsewhere that it is actually PAL). And, it will certainly cost you a bundle. A Hong Kong based seller with mostly positive feedback is selling it (multiple copies, I think) on eBay for the suspiciously low But It Now price of $60 US...but then again, an American dollar goes a lot farther in Hong Kong than it does in the United States. Hope that helps. I plan on ordering this series myself someday, but not until after I read the book and pay off some of my wince-inducing credit card bill.

I used to buy LDs from bluelaser.com They were pricey but had stuff no one had. I've inquired lately about some used LDs but they never reply. They are legit though.

I have been buying from Blue Laser for at least 10 years. I highly recommend them.

Have you bought any LDs from them recently. Do they actually carry the used LDs they list?

I have not bought an LD from them in years . I usually speak to Nancy when I call there.
