I hope that the DVD release will be not too far in the future and IT WILL BE UNRATED as well.
ps
I know for sure that IRREVERSIBLE will be shown in Chicago as well (NY/LA are the other two cities for now).

....hmmmmm.....all that I was saying is that Chicago has been added to the list, that's all. Originally only NY and LA were mentioned for the advanced screening.

Not too be overtly sarcastic or anything, but when has a movie NOT played in NY/LA.

There have been plenty of instances where Hollywood studios test market a movie somewhere in fly-over country, aren't happy with the result and can it without ever having an NY/LA release.

Not to sound nit picky, but can you be specific, cause I'd sure like to know what films the elite NY/LA film fans were denied seeing.

I also seem to recall reading years ago that It's Pat opened in Spokane (Julia Sweeney's hometown) but was (mercifully) a direct-to-video release everywhere else.

"Songs from the Second Floor" and "Werckmeister Harmonies" opened in San Francisco for about 2 weeks at the Roxie before it was released in NY about 1 year later.

on 1/25 and 1/26, with the director in person for the January 25 show.

Are you guys going to see the unrated version...I would assume so since LionsGate said they will only offer the uncut version.
How come we never get to see any foreign movies around here-Indiana University...well, at least not anything like this "difficult" film. The last one they showed was THE PIANO TEACHER and was shown in a local artsy club.
