You should check out Cynthia's sticky thread to find out which horror films aren't available in R1.

I don't know how "obscure" your taste is in horror titles, but here are some more suggestions :

To get a feel for some of what's out there, check out the review and the dvd shop sections of the sexgoremutants.co.uk site. There're quite a few titles there to peruse that are unavailable in R1.

And while there are numerous excellent horror sites out there, one that I frequent enough to feel comfortable recommending is http://www.horrordvds.com . Threads on non-R1 horror dvds are frequently coming up.

Two other suggestions. While, sadly, the http://www.splatterhouse.net board is dead, the reviews are still up : http://www.splatterhouse.net/graveyard.htm
Many of the former members have a new site, one that might be worth keeping an eye on : http://www.terroraustralis.net

As this one seems to have been asked and answered and contains an element of duplication with a sticky thread [ why are they there again?]....

.... I'm now closing.
