Hivizone "crazy" sale

I'm sure most of you will be getting this email soon anyway

In order to let you buy DVD titles at further low prices, HiViZone will launch
a CRAZY sale very soon! 15% discount will be offered to you for orders of ANY
DVDs! The
details is as follows:

Discount rate: 15% off for orders of any DVDs
Period: From 00:00 30th May to 23:59 5th June (GMT)

Don't miss the chance of buying DVDs at further low prices! Visit HiViZone
(http://www.hivizone.com) on 30th May!
It did say "member" in the greeting so I'm not sure if it is for members only. Also, I'm not sure if the usual member discount will also be applied (if they are still even doing that, it's been awhile since I've ordered from them).

I haven't ordered from hivi in a while either. Part because little new stuff is coming out that interests me.

Agreed, so far the only things I've come up w/ are ROOT2, JSA and La Brassiere. Nothing else recently really interests me. Any recommendations anyone?

Some recommendations:

These new DVDs, I thought are good movies:

Love Undercover - comedy
My Life As McDull - cartoon/animation comedy
Chinese Odyssey 2002 - comedy
July Rhapsody - drama
Princess-D - drama

have not seen, but heard good things:
Dead and the Deadly (Sammo Hung) - horror-comedy-kung fu
The Quiet Family - dark comedy
Waterboys - comedy
Hocus Pocus - horror-kung-fu
Poeny Pavilion - drama

Agreed, which really sucks since I really don't like HK comedies

nemin....yeah I'm not huge into HK comedies either. I can't speak Cantonese or Mandarin...and so much of comedy is in the delivery.

I remember not being able to keep up with all the new releases and catalog titles...now I strugle to find 2-3 new action titles to put together an order. I take alot of chances on lesser flicks and usually end up disappointed.

Only stuff I can think of, is stuff I've seen before but havent gotten around to buying yet, like Bio Zombie, She Shoots Straight, Dreadnaught, Peking Opera Blues, and such. There is absolutely nothing really new that I want.

I agree to a point- Steven Chow is pretty funny though...so I guess he's the exception.
