The Korean version of "Farinelli" is 1.85:1 widescreen with 5.1 Dolby Digital and R3 NTSC. It has English subtitles.

I have a special version that I got from buying an issue of Hivi magazine that is in DTS.

This is my first post here. It seems like a very nice forum! I didn't see these UK R2 DVDs on the list:

Hicks, Bill - "Totally" (documentary & live performance)
http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/...413608-8251644

Hicks, Bill - "One Night Stand" (HBO performance from Chicago...a mere 30 minutes or so)
http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/...413608-8251644

New for Region 2 - Japan

Jacknife
Promised Land

What's going on with this thread? It's great but it's way out of date. A lot of things on it have now been released in Region 1, and 6 pages of additions?? Is there a way to updtae the master list?

How often does the list on page one get updated? I see a lot of UK R2 that are out in R1, like audition, captain scarlet, stingray, thunderbirds, coupling.

As it happens the last edit was quite some time ago. I know that cynthia does all this in her spare time and occasionally Real Life intervenes.

Many of the dates in the list are obsolete by almost a year... It would be helpful to include the year if you're going to update so seldom...

From the list on page 1, under Italian-only DVDs --

-----------------
Legend of 1900, The (1998)
(Legend of the Pianist on the Ocean, The)

2-disc SE of the complete, uncut version / coming to R1 Jun. 4
-----------------

Now a R1 DVD of the shorter US cut *was* released *last* June 4, 2002... Is that the release they're talking about in the list?

The uncut version is *not* schedule for release this upcoming June as far as I can tell...

Matewan OAR from Canada

John Sayles' Matewan is apparently available for the first time in its OAR of 1.85:1 from Seville Pictures in Canada. The USA Artisan release is P&S as is the old Image LD. . .

I don't know if it has been mentioned, but a lot of Coppolla's Zoetrope films from the early 80's just got an R4 release. Including FFC's long out of print on VHS ONE FROM THE HEART and Wim Wenders HAMMETT.

Add 11'09"01, the compilation of films by Imamura, Chahine, Loach, etc. about the events of September 11th. It's a definite blind buy for me.

Where is this available from (U.K., Japan, France, etc.)? TIA, trdn89.

Just received HAMMETT from Family Box Office in Austrailia. The sound and video is very good. Dolby Digital 2.0 and is widescreen enhanced 16.9.

Is this list being maintained? I was going to see if some non-released R1s were out in other regions but last update appears to be over a year ago.

Unfortunately, it looks like the list has fallen into disrepair... cynthia left us for a bit for health reasons and then came back for a bit (see page 4). But it looks like we haven't had an update in a while.

I don't know if cynthia is still around (her last post was 1.5 months ago), but if someone wants to continue this, they may want to contact her (and benedict) to get the process going.

An update looks like a pretty time-consuming task. I can think of dozens of R2 UK titles that aren't on the list, including the BFI TV archive collection, etc. I'm sure that's just the tip of the iceburg.

Interstate 60 is exclusively available in Sweden (R2). This is Bob Gale's (co-writer of Back to the Future) directorial debut.
