Universe Of Entertainment is a German DVD etailer that ships amazingly fast but is located in Switzerland.

Well duh, but my point is that they sell German DVDs thus making them a German DVD etailer.

Give me another minute and I can explain to you guys why Play.com is an American DVD etailer because they sell R1 DVDs in addition to R2-UK DVDs.

codefree: ...by your 'logic' then, [UoE] would be an American etailer - since they they sell Region 1 DVDs from the USA, too...

...but I see your point... although you might have phrased your initial post thusly: "[Uoe] is an etailer located in Switzerland that sells German DVDs and ships amazingly fast."

Woo-hoo! Another one converted to my warped sense of reasoning.

Yeah you're right. I certainly could have worded it better.

well I can atest to buying a couple of DVD from amazon.de and that it took longer than I expected.

Also, play.com doesnt look like they ship to the US according to their list of countries they ship to.

You can say that again about the price of postage!

And an order which shipped on 11 March still hasn't arrived.

Customer service told me to contact them if I haven't received it by 24 April!

How come I can get DVDs from Amazon.co.uk in 5 - 7 days and for half the cost of shipping?

Mark

Interesting...

I started this thread because I, too, waited forever for an order from amazon.de that never arrived. It was mailed out March 1st and today's the day I'm supposed to call to either have it reshipped (*cough*cough*) or have my money refunded.

Perhaps I should start a new thread: "Who else never received their order from amazon.de?"
