Help -- which DVDs to get from HongKong ?
I just learnt that one of my friends is visiting HongKong for a week. I would like to ask him to get a few DVDs from there. I have a region-free Malata, so non-R1 DVDs are OK. The only must-have is a good transfer (preferable anamorphic).
So, what DVDs are worth getting physically from HongKong ?
I have heard good reviews about Shiri:SE (R3), Bichumoo (R3) etc.
Also, what are the best places (physically in HK) to get DVDs ? Can someone post specific stores and their general locations ?
Thanks.

The newbie HK thread is a decent place to start looking for titles, if you're unfamiliar with HK movies. AsianDVDGuide is also another place to look for specs on DVDs.
The best and cheapest place for DVDs in HK is in the Mongkok area. There are at least 5 stores on Sai Yeung Choi Road (that's the road parallel to Nathan Road the next block over to the east) between Shantung Road and Argyle Road. These stores would all sell HK distributor DVDs.
