Ok, my dvd's were sent on 11/27 and today is 12/20. I have not received anything. I know that these things are taking longer nowadays but a month? Is anyone else in this same situation?

Are you talking about Amazon.de? If so, then prepare yourself for a lengthy wait - my order of A Hard Days Night from Amazon.de took something like 45 days to arrive (here in Australia).

It seems that the German postal system is even worse than the US postal system (), and when you consider that the regular airmail charged by Amazon.de was approximately 30% more than the cost of the DVD itself (this was for the one item!!), I would expect much better than I received. Suffice it to say that I will never be ordering from them again.

regards, Tim...

Based on the above two replies:

Are there any more reliable/quicker German sites that have the Bean box set for a decent price?

I have ordered twice from Amazon.de and both orders took at least a month to reach me, so sit tight. I also have not found a more efficient German site and was also wondering if anybody else had.

(And watch those cracks about the United States Postal Service. Everyday they're putting their lives on the line with this anthrax scare just so you can get your bloody DVDs in time for Christmas. )

(Don't take offense. Just pulling your chain, HardTack.)

bump.

I have added info on the new Australian version. Also, this is finally coming to R1 in April although I'm not certain if the extras will be the same.

Here is the 10th Anniversary collection from R4. http://www.ezydvd.com.au/item.zml/221830/id=tImB1:1elvu

Clarification

The original Australian releases are now out of print. the new box set matches the contents of the European versions.

From DVD.com : (R1)

This is the complete Mr. Bean collection - all 14 episodes in one deluxe, collectible package, jam-packed with extras including the 50 minute documentary The Story of Mr. Bean.

I've preordered.

Now if only they would either show or put on DVD the new animated series I would be in heaven. It is currently being shown in Canada.

A thread in the main forum reports that the new R1 version of Mr. Bean has two cuts:

The episode Merry Christmas, Mr. Bean is missing the scene where Mr. Bean cheats with a scale to win a turkey.

The episode Do It Yourself Mr. Bean is missing a scene where an old lady is squashed by a chair.

I have verified the the Spanish version has the uncut Christmas episode while Do It Yourself is cut.

Could anyone with the French or Australian versions check these out for us?

I'm afraid I must amend the information regarding the German set.

The Australian R2/4 boxset has the scene where Mr. Bean cheats with a scale to win a turkey but is missing the scene where an old lady is squashed by a chair.

Hope this helps.

OK, this is starting to make more sense now because the German, Spanish, French and Australian versions all come from Universal.

It will probably be safe to assume that the French version is also missing the bit with the chair.

1Randyc reports in the main forum that the Japanese edition from Polygram is completely uncut (at twice the price of course).

Firstly let me apologise in advance if this tpye of question is not allowed.

Hi Bolo,
I see you have the australian release of Mr Bean 10 year anniverary set. I also have it, however my little puppy got hold of the case for Disc 2, and has damaged the Cover, would there be any chance of you scanning yours in and emailing it over please. Luckily enough he didnt get hold of the dvd, that was in the player. That will teach me to leave the case on the side.

Thanks in advance

So there is no version that isn't cut? Dvdcompare.net gave top ratings to the R4 version as being uncut.

Geez, what a bummer!
