Anybody ever order form Canada?

I just got these prices in Canada...Sopranos season 1 and 2, $56 each and Godfather for $59. Is this pretty good? My local BJ's had Godfather for $70. The store I shopped was www.absound.ca. I've ordered from them before, shipping is a little pricey but if you buy enough then it's worth it.

ABSound might have the best prices but they also have the lamest website. It got hacked once and all the dvdtalk members had to cancel thier orders and thier credit cards. Its a major fuss. And ABSound never even cared to conpensate the customers.Use them with caution. If you want to order quick and dont wait long for upcoming titles.

Only reason to order from Canada is if you want the Canadian version of some DVD - cuz they sometimes will have more features in the Canadian version of a R1 DVD (Trainspotting & Pulp Fiction) and sometimes there's a DVD available in Canada that isn't available in the US (rare). Other than that - there's no compelling reason because sometimes the price of the DVD is a little cheaper, but they get you with shipping costs which are far too high for the distance they have to go.

Very few DVDs are done in both Canada AND the US, and most are inferior ( the Straight Story, Red Violin) but some have different features ( Memento )... prices are VERY reasonable in Canada due to the value against the US greenback. Its around 60% of the US$. I have ordered over 400 DVDs from www.cnl.com and can recommned them for reliable delivery and reasonable prices ( cheap delivery too... but I live in Canada )

Cheers,

Why don't you try www.dvdboxoffice.com ?
I've ordered from them several times to my satisfaction.

And... no shippingcosts!
