What's wrong with the SDU?

SDU Special Duty Unit.

They're supposed to be elite and well trained in weapons and tactics, but in every film I see them in they can't hit sh*t and all they're good at is getting capped by the bad guy who is shooting around a corner not even looking.

Anyone else notice this?

Hehe! Does seem that way doesn't it?

I just watched Purple Storm. (great movie)
I think if we kept score from the movie it would look something like this:

Baddies killed by SDU = 6-10
SDU killed by Baddies = 40-60

Doesn't really inspire you to go join the SDU does it?

cheers,
Gabe

How about First Option starring Michael Wong and Gordon Chan? It's been quite a while since I've seen this movie but if I remember correctly only one SDU officer died. Most of the movie follows the hardships and training each SDU officer has to go through. I know when I saw it way back then I felt inspired to join the SDU.
