The Crimson Rivers SE (R2-UK)

"First up is the critically acclaimed The Crimson Rivers. This French language film has won plenty of acclaim - not least for the excellent French DVD, and now English-only speakers/readers will get the chance to see what all the fuss is about. Starring Jean Reno (Leon) and Vincent Cassel (Le Pacte Des Loups), The Crimson Rivers (Les Rivières Pourpres) is very much in the mould of films such as Se7en. The same day, 300km apart two policemen are given two very distinctive cases - Pierre Niemans (Reno) is assigned to investigate a brutal murder while Max Kerkerian (Cassel) is investigating a desicated graveyard and in particular the grave of a child who disappeared 20 years previously. Soon both cases clash and the murder count grows. The DVD is surprisingly feature packed given the film's fairly low profile in the UK (it was a huge hit in France). We can expect a 2.35:1 anamorphic transfer and a number of extras totalling 2.5 hourse spread over two discs. While we don't have all the details we can expect ten featurettes covering the making of the film which include multiple angles and a Director and cast audio commentary. This two disc set will retail for £24.99 and is due on 26 November."
