Armageddon R4 re-release has Criterion extras?
I just read at www.dvd-debate.com that Buena Vista is re-releasing some films in R4 in November. The web site reports that Armageddon will contain the following:
Does this mean the disc will contain some of the Criterion extras or will Bay record a new commentary etc.?

Well, assuming its the same as the upcoming R2 re-release, then yes its the Criterion. At least, that's what everybody has led me to believe.
BTW, expect an 16x9 transfer on this.

The German and English, R2 Armageddon DVDs are both 2 disc sets and include every thing from the R1 Criterion discs except for the gag reel. In place of that, they sport a new anamorphic transfer! I just sold my Armageddon CC and will be buying this when it comes out in a couple of weeks. It would have been nicer though if they added a DTS soundtrack to go along with the new transfer.
