Re: Movie Theater deals

Yeah it’s popcorn day, but both the Rams and Lakers play today. So I’ll have to skip it. Anyway, I got my movie in for this weekend. I saw September 5 last night.

Re: Movie Theater deals

YMMV - If you have Verizon, there's a $10 off Fandango reward under My Verizon (app).
Go to Anytime Deals, Explore All and scroll all the way down.

Re: Movie Theater deals

Nice, got mine, thanks for the heads up! I just recently signed up for Verizon internet, I'll have to keep an eye on those deals.

I did find it on the website instead of the app, but I couldn't find anyway to browse to it. I googled 'verizon anytime deals' which took me to myAccess, and from there I found a link to Anytime Deals.

Re: Movie Theater deals

$5 off Fandango code.
You'll need to have/install Google Chrome and set it as your default browser. If you're not interested in doing that, then this deal is not for you.
https://www.activaterewards.com/chro.../offer-details

It says start on mobile, but I started on MS Edge. https://www.activaterewards.com/chro...source=windows
Doesn't work if you start in Chrome.
Put your email in, wait for email. Then open that link in Chrome. Then you'll get another email with the code.
Offer valid 5/1/25 - 5/31/25 - redeem by 6/7/25

Also one for $15 off at Fandango At Home. But if you pick FAH you can't get the Theater credit and vice versa.

I grabbed the $15 credit mentioned above a couple of weeks ago. Another $15 FAH credit was there today

Seeing this thread bumped, reminds me to post here that another $15 code was available on the Verizon deals when I looked yesterday. A choice between a $15 Fandago theater code or one for FAH. Once you choose one, the other disappears.

Re: Movie Theater deals

idk if anyone here does Fandango Fanclub ($10/month), but they now give you the choice between $10 off movie ticket or FAH /month.

The subscription gets the $10 a month, and no fees. FWIW, there's also a monthly $10 off the Fanstore; double rewards, discount on your birthday etc.

Several of the first months I got a bonus $10 off FAH.

I signed up for the 7 day trial back in the summer because we were going to 3 or 4 movies in a couple of weeks and it covered the fees.

I'm too far away from Regal or AMC to subscribe to those.

AMC announced a 2026 Popcorn Pass. Costs $30 and gets you 1/2 price L Popcorn ($5 instead of $10) So it pays for itself with 6 Popcorn purchases in the year.

I signed up this week for the same reasons. I took my daughter to see the new Wicked film and I bought tickets for friends/kids to see Zootopia 2. In both cases, there were limited seats since it was for the discounted Tuesday showings, so I wanted to purchase them in advance and not pay the fees. So I've saved quite a bit already and added enough points for 2 $5 Fandango credits. I'll probably keep it after the free trial at least through the holidays and maybe beyond.

Interesting. Well, not really excited, at least not from our standpoint. This is not as good of a deal as the current AMC refillable popcorn buckets. We've been getting those for years at the remaining AMC Classic theaters in our area, watched it creep up from $19.99 to I think it's $26.49 or something like that. It's basically the same idea, though refills are $5.49 and I'm pretty sure that's less than half price of a large popcorn and I'm pretty sure it's bigger, too, plus you get a second refill that same day (in fact, we've gotten more than one free before). But here's some fine print about the new Popcorn Pass:

With this, you get less popcorns per showing, my wife can't use it if I put the pass on my account like the way she can use the bucket if she goes to the movies on her own, and it looks like the bucket may be going away. The program says:
  • The AMC Popcorn Pass applies to one large AMC Perfectly Popcorn per day
  • The benefit is eligible for in-theatre purchases only and is not valid for mobile order
  • The AMC Popcorn Pass may be used only by the passholder
  • The AMC Popcorn Pass, which is available to AMC Stubs members at all AMC locations in the United States, replaces the AMC Annual Bucket, which was available only to guests at AMC CLASSIC locations.
Really disappointed in this move. I get why they're doing it, and they'll make more money, but our family will lose out. We buy a TON of popcorn, nearly every show. It's so cheap, and the bucket with the lid keeps leftovers fresh for snacking the next day.

Yeah, the more I think about this, the more frustrated I am. Dare I say, I'm angry about it. We had a good thing going and this will cost us more. Or, cost them more, because we'll likely get popcorn less often.

Hopefully Regal repeats their usual Snack Saver deal, which seems much better than AMC’s.

$40 gives you a large popcorn and drink (free refills on both) and half price same all year. So you break even with just two more visits.
