I don't think you'll end up with your money back plus your cashback reward, nor should you obviously.

If you're lucky enough to get a refund, you'll get just what you paid, no more.

How did you get scammed? Do you get the sellers personal information such as phone number you called before sending money? Way too many people out there falling for bogus deals.

Same deal with me. I bought Cosby Series with cashback and now I got an email from eBay telling me the guy is a scammer and not to complete the transaction...thanks, dicks. Real helpful since I paid 9 days ago...

What happened to me is :

Seller on ebay who has perfect rating and is selling other Wii 's and other things sells me the Wii for 325 w/ accessories. I email him and ask him if it is the new 2008 edition. He replies "yes, bought a bunch of these 3 weeks ago." So, like a good ebayer I pay with paypal and wait a week and no Wii. So I email this complete ass pony to see where my Wii is and of course. He does not reply. Two days later I get the dreaded MC105 message from ebay stating he is a fraudulent seller and I shouldn't pay him. YEAH, NO SHIT. Too bad this isn't C O D Land anymore ebay you stupid schmucks. So now I have opened a dispute with paypal and if he doesn't respond in 10 days I get my money back. With my luck this leech on our oxygen will respond on the last day and drag my money refund out for another month. UUUHHHGG! Why are there so many @ssholes on ebay. God. I swear. I feel like getting a plane ticket to Tenessee and driving my rental car through this guy.

That's the only issue with the live cashback is that you have scumbags who know that people are looking for a bargain so they put up fake auctions for a quick buck.

How is it they make any money though if in ten days I get my money refunded? Do they actually think that paypal won't go after them? Anyway, my 225 dollar Wii with extra controllers and game just turned into a 339 dollar wii cause I had to buy it at dreaded Game Stop. Thanks junkjunkie423 @ebay!!! He is "no longer a registered user" What a surprise, now I can't even leave bad feedback .... HA.... ebay is a joke.

That's annoying--hope it works out for you. Ebay can be a pain. I currently have a sale in process of a $300 digital camera, the buyer's echeck through paypal cleared, and the USPS has now attempted to deliver the thing twice, left notices, and the tracking just shows that it is in limbo right now. It could be totally innocent, or the buyer just may be playing games, but it is annoying nonetheless. Of course, the cashback was 30%when I sold it, so I knew I'd get my BIN price as it was a very good deal. If I had to relist it now, who knows. Anyway, them's the risks when doing transactions with people you don't know who live half-way across the country.

BTW, the Live.com percentage appears to be gone for the time being.

Just make sure you get the rental car insurance

Ebay has certainly become a joke, I myself have seriously thought about getting a plane ticket and taking care of business just to teach a lesson. I cannot wait to see Ebay fail miserably in the next few years.

Microsoft still owes me over $100 and its been over 60 days.
They claim that they are still waiting for Ebay to confirm my transaction eventhough i provided them my paypal account, transaction confirmation etc.

My regular searches like wii and ipod and not pulling up a percentage, but right now, T-mobile sidekick still brings up 8%.

I got boned on an Ipod Touch... the guy had perfect feedback and actually had feedback from customers who have recently bought an Ipod Touch. Luckily Paypal came thru and got my money back but I'm pissed because I used my 30% live coupon on some dickhead who never had the intention of selling me the gd thing!

It wasn't a coupon, and you could do it up to 12 times per year on an account, up to $200 cashback per transaction/purchase.

Well, ok, coupon was the wrong word. The fact that the 30% deal expired is what pisses me off... and I never got to take advantage of it.

I believe that it's fairly random. Given it's past history, there's no reason to think that it won't re-occur at some point. But I think it's anyone's guess as to whether that's tomorrow, or next summer...

Live.com has 8% off eBay purchases, first discount I've seen in quite a while....

It was 25% two or three days ago. Only lasted for about a day. Hopefully it goes back up.
