Re: One & Only BMG Music Service Thread (Part 5)
It might be worth joining Yourmusic.com for the free selection if I still want a pick knowing that I can quit anytime. I can't see myself staying with Yourmusic like I would BMG.
-I don't like that you have to have a credit card registered with them or having to try and weasel around that requirement.
-I don't like that they'll charge you automatically whether you have a disc in queue or not.
-I don't like that if an item is TOOS, they'll go three deep into the queue before they decide they won't charge you. With all of the TOOS's lately, this may come into play more than I'd like. You'd basically always want to have at least three picks in your queue at all times.
-It seems to take most of the power and control out of the member's hands.
This'll probably be the end of CD clubs for me.

Re: One & Only BMG Music Service Thread (Part 5)
No, I just went to the main page an put the code in. I canceled my membership with yourmusic at the end of the summer last year when the selection went away. I justified staying with them when the selection was decent because I had a queue that had about 35 cds that I actually wanted. I used the list to keep track of what I wanted from the free BMG codes and I woud pay $7 for a cd I really want.
Now I am having a hard time finding a cd I would pay 2.79 for.

Still adding new titles. They have Coldplay's Prospekt's March EP now. I recommend it. Well, I recommend it at 90% off, which is the way I ordered it. $1.20 plus shipping.

Re: One & Only BMG Music Service Thread (Part 5)
I ordered one of the closeout discs @$1.99, and now it is listed as "temporarily out of stock." If they are truly clearance items, wouldn't they be permanently out of stock? Are they jerking me around, or is this simply a software glitch indicating a delay in the order? The item "Hilary Hahn - Bach Violin Concertos" is still listed online for purchase.
I'm confused. Can anyone shed any light?

So, have they moved up the date that they are closing down?
An earlier notice stated that you could shop online through the end of June.
The more recent notice (url is above) that was posted says through the end of May.
Also, have they notified members with only an online membership that the club is closing? I get too many emails to keep track of all of them, but I dont think I have been notified. I havent gotten anything in the mail. Just curious.
