So was anyone able to cash in on this sale? I tried a couple of times over the weekend and it said my card would not work. I tried again this morning and the codes do not work.

Wait 48 hours and try again. I emailed customer service on Friday night after I was unable to open a new account because they were unable to validate my credit card. I have just received a reply that states that they are having a major techincal issue with their site. They suggested that I should wait 48 hours and try to open my account at that time. They stated that they feel that they should have the problem resolved by then.

I just sent them an email also asking about the problem. The bad news is that the sale codes don't seem to be working anymore. Maybe they will redo the sale since they were having problems.

Still not working, and getting worse
I've been exchanging e-mails with Yourmusic since Friday, though calling it an "exchange" would suggest that we're communicating. When I reply by e-mail, I receive this back:
[[email protected]]: host cluster1.us.messagelabs.com[216.82.253.147] said: 553-Sorry, your email address has been blacklisted. Please 553 contact
BeMusic, Inc. to have yourself removed. (in reply to RCPT TO command)
So I've been sending my notes via the contact interface on their web site. Here is my chain of e-mails so far:
--------------------------------
I received this e-mail yesterday:
"We noticed you still have a great CD in your cart. Take advantage of
our special two-day sale: Buy 2 CD's from your cart and get 1 free! When
you're checking out, use promo code YMB2G1. Sale applies only to
single-disc items."
The code does not work for me. When I put any number of items in my cart
and enter this code in the Enter Promotion Code field, I get this error:
"The promotion code you entered is not valid. Please try again."
Can you fix it?
Regards,
Manos

Re: Technical problems
In response to your e-mail from Carole Y., I am still having trouble with my account. Today the YMB2G1 code was not accepted. The error message stated "The promotion code you entered is not valid. Please try again." My attempt to reply to your e-mail also failed. Has the sale ended? If so, will you extend the sale to accommodate those who could not take advantage of it due to the technical problems?
Regards,
Manos

I just got an email from yourmusic
The email I received is for the 20% off sale but I assume the B2G1 sale is good through the 7th as well.

Just to close the loop, here is my response from Yourmusic, received today. I think they handled the problem well by extending the sale. But this incident points out the inadequate computing resources they allot to this club. It routinely takes half a minute for their web pages to begin loading. A week-long breakdown for a web-based business is exceptionally poor performance. I hope someone over there sees the urgency of upgrading their resources.
Thanks to Doctor X for finding these codes the first time around.

I just checked my post count and it has dropped(I had made many posts in the BMG thread, so that must be why my count dropped). This is a sad day.

The reason I suspected moderator intervention is because this thread had also disappeared. I revived it by searching for more posts by Doctor X. This thread was listed under his old posts, and adding a new post revived the thread. But our BMG posts do not appear under our posting history.

I think this one dropped down because it had been so long since a new post had been added to it. I'll start a new BMG thread...
By the way, is anyone else having problems with yourmusic? The order I placed on 7/4 still has not shipped and a couple of cds that were backordered from the start of June finally shipped on 7/3 but still have not arrived.

Does anyone have any new/working codes for yourmusic.com?
