I prefer the americanized version, some of the british slang throws me off.
They're very minor changes, there are websites listening them and like you said it's just minor stuff like loo to bathroom, torch to flashlight etc.

I'm sure most people have already pre-ordered a copy and are probably getting their costumes ready but overstock.com has the book for $15.99. If you use the following free shipping code: 68127 (exp 7/25/05), you'll get it delivered for $15.99. Of course they will send it USPS Media Mail but if you don't mind waiting a couple extra days, this seems like a good deal.

There was actually a very good deal on the books here where I live. A local retailer mistakenly put some of the books on the shelf last week. About 15 were sold before the store the store relailized what they had done and pulled them. The local publisher then went to court to file an injuction to keep the people who bought them from disclosing any information or even reading the books before the 16th.

Man, that bookstore really screwed up. I wonder if they will be kept off the distribution list when book seven is released. I agree with not letting people blab about the story until it is officially released but how can they prevent people from reading a book they already purchased and took home with them? Did the send Mounties to guard each book?

Okay, they asked for the books back until 12:01am Saturday.
New Potter book leaks in Canada
I guess the autograph is a nice little incentive to wait a couple more days.
New Potter book leaks in Canada
Raincoast Books Ltd., which distributes the books in Canada, said a "small number" of the books were sold, and it has won a court injunction barring the buyers of "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" from disclosing the plot.
The court also ordered all the copies be returned to Raincoast, which has promised the early buyers book plates autographed by Rowling once the embargo is lifted.

Picked one up at target this afternoon (Sunday). $16.86. They had at least a hundred copies left, so this definitely isn't going to be tough to find for people like me that didn't pre-order to go to a midnight sale.

I brought in my Fry's $13.99 ad price to my local Wal-Mart to pricematch on Saturday, and was surprised to see Wal-Mart selling the book for $12.97!
