Any good Harry Potter Book 6 Deals out there??
 

Ive been searching DVDtalk and couldnt find any deals for the new installment in the Harry Potter series. Are there any out there yet? Please help.

All the major sellers (Amazon, Borders etc.) have it available at 40% off.

So far the cheapest place I could find was at sams club for $15.67

Walmart may be your best bet, they were the last time around. Or you can hope for a good Borders coupon like the ones in the other thread.

I got it for like $14 shipped from outpost. I think that deal could be long dead by now though.

That was pretty funny. :) I do love the books, but I'm going to wait a week or so past the release date for the lines to die down at costco. Here's hoping it's less than amazon. :)

I bought book 5 twice (lost 1st copy at the airport) at Cosctco. IIRC it was $15-16.

So it's not a pre-order. You can buy it for that price (plus I'm guessing s/h) when they release the book. Interesting idea.

I was going to suggest your local library because mine is buying 150 copies of the book. However, when I went online to check my reserve status, I'm number 466! :( Looks like I might have to go the purchase route too.

I actually prefer the American covers. The UK covers are aimed at children as they have adult releases, whereas the American covers are aimed at both adults and kids, so the art tends to be more sophisticated. 15days. :)

Anyone looking to buy it B&M today is the last day to reserve one for both B&N and Borders.

Last time around I was able to walk into a Wal-Mart Supercenter at 11:40, wait in line for a few minutes and walk out by 12:05 with a copy in hands...the line was wrapping through the corner of the store, but the store did a good job at quickly handing out the books and having all registers open.

And the title of the first book.

And some of the British 'slang' throughout all of the novels has been "Americanized" in the U.S. editions. (loo to bathroom, bogey to booger, etc. I'm sure there's a web site out there that catalogs the differences.)

Not a huge deal, not the end of the world... but I prefer to read them as originally written.
