I never have, after trying once(maybe twice) previously to add to my current free sub. When the link was working, I gave myself a "gift sub" and the only address change was to use my middle name for delivery instead of my first name. Don't care too much if it works out or not, I just crave the excitement of trying something wild and crazy...

And thanks for the link(currently dead), xboxundone!

I tried to "add on" on one of these before but it didn't take. I tried this one since my sub just ran out a few weeks ago, but they still may not consider me a "new" subscriber just because it expired. We'll see. No biggie. I really don't use the listings at all. Just browsed the up-front articles and news items a bit.

I didn't even receive my first issue yet and they sent me a bill. It says to expect my first issue soon and I can pay the $5 now. guess it isn't free.

look at it carefully the renewals look very much like a bill...... I have not received a bill for a single mag i have signed up for.

Don't pay anything. You should get the free year regardless.

I know some of you keep saying that the renewal notice looks very similar to an acutual bill. I just got another bill today and it clearly says "Invoice" on top. It asks me to pay either $1.25 in installments or the total of $5.00 all at once. the attached letter says:

Dear XXXX,

Your TV Guide subscription has been entered and your first issue should arrive any day now, if you haven't received it yet.

We hope you'll enjoy ....

If you'd like to pay in 4 easy installments (we'll bill you monthly), please send us $1.25 by June 16, 2005. ....

Sincerely,
Paul Davis

P.S. If you've already paid this bill, thank you and please disregard this notice.
I don't want them report me to an agency or put me on some secret "do not serve" list that will affect other magazine subscriptions. ... so am I being ridiculous and overly paranoid?
