Perhaps you should contact them and tell them that you did not sign up for a paid subscription, but a free subscription through some promotion. If they insist that it's a subscription that you need to pay for, just cancel it.

Dear Customer Service,

I recently signed up for a FREE 1 year subscription for your service. It
was through another website. I recently received my first issue as well as
a bill. If the service is not FREE as I understand it, then please cancel
my service.

I hope this is a clerical error.

Sincerely,

Thank you for contacting us about your subscription.

Your order was entered on our files for 52 weeks at a cost of $5.00. As per
your request, we have canceled this order.

Please disregard the notice you've received.

Thank You

Is it possible that you signed up for the $5 TV Guide offer at tvguide.com? You can get a 52 week subscription for $5 if you create a new account at tvguide.com.

Has anyone gotten their TV Guide?

A few weeks back my aunt in Houston called me and told me that she got her free TV Guide subscription.

I signed her up for TV Guide and I also signed up my mom and I. But we have not received our issues yet.

So, has anyone else gotten the free TV Guide subscription?

Thanks.

Yes, I started receiving my new TV Guide subscription a few weeks ago. I didn't think I would get it as I gave myself a "gift sub" on 05/08/05 even though my previous sub didn't expire until 05/29/05. Maybe by the time they processed addresses I was at that point no longer a current subscriber and that is really why it worked. I dunno. Thanks again to the OP, xboxundone!
