Im paying 19.99 from sbc. Ive seen comcast ads (I get SLC local chanels) for comcast for 19.99. I guess it depends on where you live. What is your location?

Yeah, your location would certainly help things out. While I highly doubt it's available for you, I'm getting Verizon's FIOS fiber service for $50 a month... At 15m/2m, it's a hell of a deal. That said, if you can get DSL, it should be cheaper than $60 a month.

Try calling up and telling comcast you want to cancel, see if they offer you a 3-6 month discount @ $19.99 per month or something if you dont cancel. Report back. I hate comcast

I just use SBC Yahoo DSL for 26 whatever. Cable is a bit faster, but its 20 bucks more in my area and just not worth it.

My brother has tried this several times with Comcast and it hasn't worked for him yet. He gets to the retention department and they just offer to disconnect his service ("we have faster speeds than anyone else, so we can charge more"). Not much competition where he lives.

I use SBC as well. $19.95/mo for a year contract. I used to have cable modem through Comcast but switched once the $20/mo for 6 months promotion ended.

Look up how much DSL is and call, they will match it if you commit for some period of time.
