I'm convinced - thanks a bunch to the OP and all the others who added their 2 cents. Great input ... I'm glad I ran across this thread.

I added to my queue:

The Used
Maybe Memories (w/DVD)

P.O.D.
Satellite (Limited Edition-1 CD/1 DVD)

The Cardigans
Long Gone Before Daylight (1 CD/1 DVD)

When I did the search for albums w/ dvds, only 94 albums came up.

Could somebody please post when they receive their first CD? I am curious about 2 things:

1. Is it normal CD packaging, with case and booklet, or is it shipped like Netflix?

2. Are the CD's of good quality, or are they inferior copies? (I'm not sure how this can be determined but I'll ask anyways)!

TIA

the club is a division of BMG. they are the same cds you'd get anywhere else, with the exception of a barcode. this isn't a cd-rental club, so they wouldn't come like netflix.

I put the POD DVD/CD on my queue and got an email that it was out of stock and it would not be delivered and my CC not charged this month.

Do you not see the $4.99 price until AFTER you sign up? And is that a permanent price? When I click the link I see the normal $5.99 page.

I ordered a few CDs last week and they came yesterday (except one, which was backordered). Very fast. $5 instead of $6 would've been better, though, but no big deal.

I just cancelled my subscription and then started a new one with the $4.99 link. That $1 makes a bit of a difference especially when adding tax.

Just signed up for the $4.99 deal, thanks a lot for posting this! Granted, my fiancee might be a little ticked at me spending more money. They don't seem to have a lot I'd want anyway, at a quick glimpse, I'll be quitting in about 6-8 months.

Just received an email saying the Sheryl Crow "Greatest Hits" cd would not be available on the current shipping date my queue had set (which was April 4). I moved it up to the top of my queue (Feb 4), and it said it would not be available on that shipping date either. I went ahead and purchased it just to get it. Thought I'd share to let you know:

1) If you want to get a CD through this club (and price), go ahead and build up your queue so you'll be notified if they will no longer carry that CD.

2) If you're interested in the Sheryl Crow "Greatest Hits" (not sure about her other discs) go ahead and buy it now.

On another note, it's not too big of a deal, but I'd like to be able to:

a) let a multi-disc set count as my obligated monthly purchase

and / or

b) be able to create a wishlist of multi-disc sets that I can move to the cart whenever I'm ready to buy.

I was also thinking how it'd be nice if they had a wishlist for thing you want to buy down the road. Ah well..

I just signed up this weekend and I'm essentally using my music queue for a wish list. I currently have 33 discs queued, which takes me to October of 2007, but I'm guessing there's no way all those discs will be waiting there so long. It's very easy to check move to cart and order a few every now and then.

BTW, if there are any other They Might Be Giants fans that have been putting off getting the two disc 'Dial-A-Song: 20 Years Of They Might Be Giants' because 30 bucks was too much to pay for mostly songs you already own, they've got it here for only $9.98!

It was showing up at $4.99 all weekend for me, but now that I'm ready to join, it keeps coming up at $5.99.Is it still coming up for $4.99 for anyone? Maybe they fixed their site over the weekend and killed the $4.99 deal.
