PREY: 4K UHD / Blu-ray / DVD - October 3, 2023

Disney has confirmed that the Prey 4K Blu-ray will be using a 66GB disc rather than a 100GB one, but this shouldn’t be a problem given that the film is only one hour and 40 minutes long. Also confirmed are a 2.39:1 aspect ratio, and a 7.1.4 Dolby Atmos mix (the HD Blu-ray that’s being released on the same day will only get a 7.1 DTS-HD MA audio mix).

Disney has provided us, though, with definite details of the extra features it will be providing alongside the film (with the rider that the features can vary by retailer). They are as follows:
  • Making of Prey: Step behind the scenes of Prey as the cast and crew explore the genesis of the project, how they gave authenticity to the story, the intense physical training the cast endured, and the effects work that brought the iconic Predator back to the screen.
  • Prey FYC Panel With Cast & Crew: Go deeper into Prey with a lively panel discussion featuring director Dan Trachtenberg, actor Amber Midthunder, producer Jhane Myers, director of photography Jeff Cutter, film editor Angela M. Catanzaro and creature effects designer Alec Gillis.
  • Alternative Opening Scene: Check out a scene that didn’t make the cut with commentary by Dan Trachtenberg.
  • Deleted Scene: Big Warrior, Little Warrior: Check out a scene that didn’t make the cut with commentary by Dan Trachtenberg.
  • Deleted Scene: Treetop Chase (pre-vis): Check out a scene that didn’t make the cut with commentary by Dan Trachtenberg.
  • Audio Commentary: Play Movie With Audio Commentary By Dan Trachtenberg, Amber Midthunder, Jeff Cutter & Angela M. Catanzaro.

Yup. Absolutely getting the Best Buy steelbook, I'm not going to miss out like I did the Mario one.

Both covers are solid, just wish the movie was better.
No digital copy?

Not interested in a digital copy that requires a monthly fee to access.

The digital copy is the MKV file you can Make yourself, but we don’t talk about such software here

I need to go back and watch this. Was distracted and turned it off about 10 minutes in. Would like to buy it to encourage more streaming movies being released.

If anybody is still on the fence about this movie, when it first came out I picked as my choice for movie night at home and my wife who generally wouldn’t give this type of movie a second thought actually said that she kinda enjoyed it afterwards.

So, that’s kinda high praise.

Surprised the standard artwork is better. That steelbook cover is ugly.

I don't steam so this will be a blind buy. Looking forward to seeing it. I am hoping for the 2022 Hellraiser that was on Hulu too but that is distributed by Paramount so...

The Hellraiser reboot is not something worth keeping in your collection forever, IMO. It's a one-time watch at best.
