I might grab the corrected set, they pulled a helluva rabbit out of their hat for that last season, might make the whole thing worth it.

Amazon Amazon

The BD for Star Trek: Picard's final season is now only $25.99. I believe it's the lowest price it's been. FYI for those who might be interested.

There is also 2 1/2 hours of bonus content including commentaries. I think I might get it now.

Also, the Picard Legacy collection comes out next week. CBS says it's "limited" to 11,750 total units. That's still a lot of units.

Technically not complete as every Picard appearance would include the Deep Space Nine premiere.

The movies aren't even the 4K versions so this seems pointless for me, but I'm sure there are collectors into these kinds of things.

Re: Star Trek Paramount Plus shows on Blu-Ray

I'll throw this in here since we're discussing physical releases of Trek shows:
I'm not interested in owning every Trek series on disc since they will never leave some form of streaming, but I was thinking of those "best-of" sets they did on DVD a while back that were themed (like all Borg or all Klingon stories) and my question is did any of them have any extras worth owning that haven't been brought forward on any other releases? I see those sets at the used places all the time for cheap, so I might grab one or two if there's something really cool on them.

I don't believe the collections had anything new.

Annoyingly, they released some two-part episodes edited into a single episode at the same time as the blu-ray season sets, and those did include exclusive special features.

Releasing Best of Both Worlds or Unification as standalone movie length releases was fine, but I was annoyed that those of us paying for the box sets would have to buy those as well if we wanted every special feature.

Most of them just carried over commentary tracks from the original season releases, but the last two (captain's log and alternate realities) did have some featurettes that were new to those collections.
