The original, limited edition Akira UHD sets from Funimation were missing HDR. They had an exchange in place of some sorts, but the set is now out of print and they've stopped replacing it with the corrected disc. In the past month Funimation has issued a regular edition Akira UHD, which all have the corrected disc.

Has anyone requested a corrected Road Warrior disc and actually gotten a response? I sent an email a few weeks back and never heard anything.

If anyone was waiting for a Hard Target replacement UHD disc from Kino they are starting to ship now.

Anyone know if the copies for sell now still have these issues? I really want to get this, but I don't want to go through another replacement disc issue (I'm still waiting for Criterion to send me my updated Citizen Kane Blu-ray!).

Their email to me said replacement discs would begin shipping in March, so I’d assume anything for sale right now is still the old disc.

I got an email from Criterion on January 21st with a tracking number for my Kane replacement disc, but when I check the number it still says the status is "Shipping Label Created, Awaiting Pickup."

Update: I got my Criterion Citizen Kane replacement Blu-ray TODAY. I also got an email saying that the corrected A Hard's Day Night won't be available for 1 to 2 months (and to check back with them). That means any copies you get prior to then will have a 4K disc that needs replaced. The $10 Coupon has NO expiration date, just FYI.

It has come to our attention that there is an English audio encoding error on the new 4K Ultra HD Disc of John Carpenter’s Escape from L.A. Paramount Home Entertainment has corrected the issue and is immediately creating new discs, however the initial shipment of discs has reached some retail outlets. Fans who purchase a disc with a white UPC barcode on the package and would like a replacement should email [email protected] for instructions. The corrected product will be shipped free of charge. If your disc package has a yellow UPC barcode, then it is the corrected version and you do not need a replacement.
It is always our intention to distribute the highest quality product and we apologize for any inconvenience this error has caused.

Criterion announced Double Indemnity on 4K, but I feel like I have to wait for release now, considering they screw up about half their titles these days.

If anyone cares, I got a confirmation from Criterion that the Hard Days Night 4Ks on Criterion.com for sale are the corrected copies as of late March/early April. So anyone who gets theirs directly from Criterion now need not worry about getting the first pressing.

if you’ve gotten no response at all, I’d try again. I emailed them a few months ago and got an automated response shortly thereafter. Then I waited a month and tried again. I received the same automated response, but this time I also got an email asking for proof of purchase etc. a few weeks later I got my disc.

I watched it and didn’t even notice an issue. Then I looked up what time the error occurred and watched it three times until I noticed the issue.

Looks like some errors with the audio on Rocky II and III. I'm going to read through a few dozen pages of bullshit on the other forum and see if I can get a synopsis.

Was there ever anything official done for the Mad Max error? I never got around to emailing them. Guess I may need to wade through that "Other" forum as well to find out.
I still need to do the Psycho replacement disc as well. Damn.

Isn't there something wrong with the original 2001: A Space Odyssey release? The other site says: "recalled: w/ No fade error version" ...anyone know what that's about?

Re: UHDs with Technical Errors and Disc Replacement Details (If Applicable)
There was a hard cut at around the 33-minute mark that was supposed to be a fade-out. It's the nit-pickiest of errors, but the original theatrical version has a fade out there, so people want it as it originally was.
