I was still hoping they made a trailer or put some official clips on YouTube.

Bill Hunt has been posting screenshots on Facebook of some scenes. They look damn spectacular. He also mentioned that the Ride of the Rohirrim battle sequence in HDR and Dolby Atmos is the single greatest sequence he’s seen in a home theater. Sounds like we could have some really good sets.

There's one dude who uploaded his shit today but it's nonsense. He just popped that shit in for a few minutes just to post first on Youtube. Clickbait bullshit. All reviewers got their screeners today, so no way assholes have gone through the material in less than a day.

Nope, they did what we all would probably do, just check out random parts to get an overall feel of what they’re going to have to review. Hunt posted the pics and comments on his personal Facebook page, but I’m sure an actual thorough review will give us some good details.

I wasn't referring to Hunt. There's a guy who posted a review on Youtube. No, if you're a reviewer you don't post some bullshit video that acts as a "review" when it really isn't. I'd post the stupid video but don't want to give the channel added views.

Does FOTR:EE still have that putrid green tint?

I’m really looking forward to this. I’ve heard great things about these transfers. I’ll probably only get the LOTR sets though. The Hobbit trilogy just didn’t resonate with me as much.

Just from spot-checking the discs, looks great. No scratches. I like how the steelbooks are housed to avoid them getting scratched.
It's going to take a while to watch the movies.

The UHD versions of The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings (Theatrical and Extended) are now available on Vudu. I don't know if the remastered versions are just in 4K or the HD or SD as well. I'd love to see them but I can't watch them in 4K yet.

Re: Lord of the Ring & The Hobbit Trilogy 4K release December 2020???
So I redeemed the 4k digital versions through Movies Anywhere. If I log into Movies anywhere it says they are 4K and Atmos.
When I log into Amazon Video or Apple TV they both show the HD versions I already own. The 4K versions are not showing up or are not being labeled 4k and don't have the updated covers. Anyone else have this problem?
EDIT:
Apple Tv now showing 4K for Two Towers and Fellowship, but not Return of the King. Not providing Atmos for any.
Amazon still giving me the 1080p versions.
Hopefully things will update soon? I can't want the discs yet since I was not successful in my PS5 hunting, haha.

Did you order the steelbooks? If you did, hope they are in great condition like mine are. Have seen reports of damaged ones.
This transfer looks so good, I'm trying to resist getting the regular set of The Hobbit. It's only $80 on Amazon right now.

My steelbooks got delayed by BestBuy but are on their way now.
Like many others, I just bought The Lord Of The Rings set. The Hobbit series just didn't ring that bell for me but I can imagine if the steelbooks on those lower in price, I may still pick them up...though then I would probably regret it when they come out with whatever super-duper box in 2021 if I do that.
