I also got the Dead Heat 4K. Looking forward to the 1980s cheesiness.

re: The Official Vinegar Syndrome Thread
I know this probably isn't the best thread for this but thought I'd give it a shot. I've been backing up my physical collection and have run into issues with a couple of Vinegar Syndrome titles: The Human Tornado and Graduation Day. I've watched both of them before, so I'm not sure if this might be like a disc rot issue or similar. I purchased them through the VS website a while back. I was considering sending an email to VS to inquire about it, though I'm not sure if it would do any good. Anyone else have any issues with VS discs?
On a side note, I watched the old BD release of Dead Heat for the OHMC. It was my second viewing and while I collect a lot of Vinegar Syndrome titles, there’s no way I’m picking it up.

Holy shit their February title announcement might include Drop Dead Fred.

“Holy shit”? If you want a Blu-ray of it, the one from the UK is region free and has been available for years.

Well the Vinegar Syndrome release will be top notch with a good amount of extras and a slipcover.

Imprint out of Australia is taking a page from Arrow Video and trying to build a more global brand.

Can you link me the replacement program details? What was wrong with the original copies? Thanks in advance for your help.

If you ordered from VinSyn directly, you’ll automatically get a replacement disc. No extra effort required. The issue was only on the UHD disc, where the HDR was overcooked.

Too bad Hard Rock Zombies didn't show up this month. I would've ordered Drop Dead Fred, but I think I'll wait until the March reveals to see if there's something else I'd like to get to save on shipping.
I used to like Beware! Children at Play back in the very early days of DVD, but I can't really imagine it holding up that well. I'm a sucker for movies with murderous kids, but I seem to remember just skipping to the big massacre at the end most of the time I'd put Troma's disc on.

Also, the problem with Flesh For Frankenstein is only the 4K disc, not the Blu. Apparently it was triggering some kind of setting on some brands of players that rendered it very poor-quality. Like, you would know immediately something was off, it wasn't one of those defects you had to look for.

As long as 3D good. I didn’t get a replacement and I bought direct. Oh well.

Watched Dead Heat last night and the 4K transfer was excellent. Fun movie, too.

For Dead Heat…are the extras included on the separate Blu-ray Disc and not the UHD from VS? Thx.

Dead Heat sounds like fun so maybe I’ll add it to my next VS purchase. Also the next sale is this weekend. They always put their vintage porn on sale the week of Valentine’s Day.

There’s also a UHD upgrade to one of their horror titles coming on Friday. (Madman? Graduation Day? No idea.)

The new UHD horror title was Madman. My Valentines day sale purchase consisted of Drop Dead Fread and four Peekarama titles

The Billy Blanks 90s action movie Talons of the Eagle is coming. Looks like about 1,000 copies are left.

re: The Official Vinegar Syndrome Thread
There are 5,000 to start.
These Jalal Merhi movies are really bad. I've never been too impressed with Blanks either. I seems like Vinegar Syndrome made some sort of deal to with Merhi's production company and got the licenses for a bunch of these on the cheap (TC 2000, Tiger Claws). I'm sure more will be coming.

re: The Official Vinegar Syndrome Thread
I have Scream Factory's Schizoid / X-Ray double feature and didn't think much of it, and I have vague memories of Reform School Girls from the $0.25 Troma DVD sale back in 1999, but...yeah. I think Hard Rock Zombies / Slaughterhouse Rock will do it for me this month, and I might wait until the April titles are revealed to save on shipping.
Did Billy Blanks do any other action flicks? I remember renting one on a lark in college, but I have zero memory of the title or premise.
