That's one I'm really looking forward to as well. The colors should just dazzle in HD. I am worried about Storaro's potential meddling however, especially in light of the Plumage fiasco.

Re: The Official Arrow Blu-ray Thread

surely you dont reformat 1.66:1 to 2:00.1

I know his reasons for doing it to 2.35:1 but like that reasoning or not, I just cant see the same logic applying to 1.66:1.

Re: The Official Arrow Blu-ray Thread

Does anyone have the Dawn of the Dead Arrow blu-ray release?

Am I the only one who can't play the Document of the Dead stuff?

You know SLAUGHTER HIGH must look bad if Arrow won't slap it on BD. PQ doesn't always seem to be of great importance to them.

Re: The Official Arrow Blu-ray Thread

They have lots of titles for which they have no HD elements, I think that is an unfair statement. Their releases aren't all exceptional, but they have delayed projects looking for the best available elements (Demons for example)

Re: The Official Arrow Blu-ray Thread

I think it's fair. If BU can make the same titles look substantially better than Arrow, it tells me that they aren't do everything they can to produce the best possible image. I appreciate the effort they put forth into every other aspect of their releases, but PQ should be their top priority.

Really?

My PS3 won't play the special features on Disc 1.

Any word on the rating/certification of Tenebrae yet? We are only about 3 weeks away. At least if it passes uncut I'll have hope for the transfer being okay.

Re: The Official Arrow Blu-ray Thread

Gah. I knew that too. I just don't have it bookmarked on this laptop I'm using so I haven't checked lately. Good to see it is uncut though. Now just waiting for those reviews. Fingers crossed.

Re: The Official Arrow Blu-ray Thread

Not every DVD they release comes from a scanned negative/print/interpositive. Many are provided to them in digital form in SD only.

Re: The Official Arrow Blu-ray Thread

From Cult Labs:
Notorious video nasty creator William Lustig and B-Movie legend Larry Cohen return to the dirty streets for a unique high speed collision of the slasher movie and police thriller in Maniac Cop, a blood splattered tale of brutal cop vengeance from beyond the grave.

When reports come in of a man in a police uniform committing gore drenched bloody murder on the city streets, officer Jack Forrest (Bruce Campbell) stands accused. Now, with few friends, powerful enemies and a psychopathic slayer still at large, it’s up to Jack to prove he’s not guilty and bring down the killer.

Now, Arrow video brings the Maniac Cop back from the 80s video vault to stalk the night time streets once more, looking for fresh victims...

Specifications preview!
- Includes collector’s booklet by Troy Howarth, plus new video interviews with stars Tom Atkins, Laurene Landon and writer Larry Cohen!DVD

Blu-ray RRP £27.99, Region ABC, BD50

Isn't Lustig planning a big release for this on BD here?
