Not bad for one of my favorite movies, but a bit more than I like to pay for a blind buy.

I asked Arrow if they had any upcoming Blu-rays plans for Martin, Deadly Blessing, Street Trash or any of the Russ Meyer films, and they said no.

Bummer. I hope Synapse will see fit to give Street Trash an upgrade, though. It's certainly one of their most worthy titles. I'd kill for that and Brain Damage on BD.

Funhouse has a whopping £27.99 price tag - anyone know why? It's only one disc as far as I can tell. I just noticed that Amazon UK no longer includes list price or % off - the sale price is the only information available. Most annoying.

Could just a random placeholder price?

The DVD on the site is @ 20.99

20.99 is the sale price, £27.99 is list. As I noted, Amazon UK now only lists the sale price, without specifically identifying it as such, so unless one does further research, one won't know how much is being saved, if anything. That listing is actually for the Blu-ray - the item is identified as DVD, but the product description is for the Blu-ray. Also, I don't think Arrow has any plans for a DVD reissue anyway. Perhaps this is a dual-format release, like the Arrow Academy titles, which might possibly explain the high price, though the press release makes no mention of it being dual-format.

For some reason I can't find Funhouse on Amazon.uk. Can someone provide a link?

It says DVD, but as noted above, the product description and price correspond to the Blu-ray.

Thanks! That's what I was doing wrong. I was searching for blu-ray and the only thing coming up was some Pink concert.

So bad it's just plain... bad...

Need to get more Arrow BDs in my collection...

The Funhouse has dropped three more pounds, to £17.99. If it ends up being £14.99 by the time it ships, I won't have any complaints. They've also corrected the format.

Some of those grabs look awful with the tinting or whatever they did to them. The features look nice though.

So, once again, Arrow puts all their efforts into everything but the video.

Can anyone confirm that the Arrow DEEP RED BR is compatible, extras included, with US BR players? I want it just for the extras, it's a bummer the Blue Underground BR has nothing on it that wasn't on the old AB DVD

THE FUNHOUSE even has me tempted. I watched this again recently on netflix and liked it a lot more than I did when I was younger.

Why do these distributors keep letting Vittorio Storaro butcher his own films? My last shred of respect for one of my favorite cinematographers is slipping away, and he's taking my respect for some of these releasing companies with it.

Sort of looks like the color got sucked out of it.

Good way of putting it. If I can get a good deal on it for the extras I'll bite but it'll have to be a really good deal. This doesn't give me much hope for Tenebre.

That screenshot of the scene with the camera viewfinder frame marks that are completely missing on one side of the screen is perhaps the most damning proof of Storaro's lies yet.

From the Blu-ray.com review:

All of the supplemental features included on the two Blu-ray discs are perfectly playable on North American PS3s and SAs.

Finally got my hands on Rififi, this is a great package really.

Quality transfer, good extras and superb presentation. More of this quality please, especially for The Conformist.
