I'm not seeing the steelbooks showing up at DiabolikDVD... are they sold out already? Or will they not carry it?
I have my eye on the steelbook with slipcase.

Yeah, I've ordered from Zavvi a few times and have generally had terrific experiences (aside from Dawn of the Dead's worldwide tour).

Well, they do seem to have the Dawn of the Dead blu-ray in stock:
https://www.zavvi.com/blu-ray/dawn-o.../12590567.html
Been thinking about getting a region-free blu-ray player. Never bothered going region-free with DVD; everything I wanted eventually became available over here, but now that disc sales are bottoming out, I think it's going be tougher to get certain films on blu-ray in R1/A.
Then I'll have to pick up that Arrow House I-IV boxed set on the aftermarket...

That Russ Meyer set was what originally made me buy a Region free DVD player. I did sell the set recently for like $400 (I think it was only $30 at the time).

Why isn’t the True Romance release coming to the US?

It’s Morgan Creek, not WB. WB handled distribution previously. That expired which is why it went OOP for a while. The more recent US Blu was put out by Sony.

Re: The Official Arrow Films 4K/Blu-ray Discussion and Release Thread
I still have my Russ Meyer set and it was also one of the titles that made me go Region Free. Even though it is selling for a huge amount, I don't know if I can part with it.
I have his very rare, huge 3 volume hardback biography "A Clean Breast" and the rare official soundtrack volumes released for his movies also. Plus the rare official Blu-ray of Faster Pussycat and Vintage bodies set.
One day I want to go through the books while watching the movies in the proper order. Then maybe sell them all (except the cd soundtracks). But by the time I get around to that, they will be released on 4K or something and the set won't be worth anything. Usually my luck.
Looks like most of his stuff is going for a pretty penny. His estate is so stupid how they are wasting away his catalog. They could be making huge money and new fans. Instead he is fading into oblivion because they make his stuff so hard to find.

The main reason I sold is because the price was high and most are up on YouTube. So, if I really want to watch I can go there.

Haven't Russ Meyer films always been hard to track down on home video?
I remember reading an interview with him in a magazine (Film Threat? Playboy?) where it was brought up how difficult his films were to find, and his answer was basically that his fans knew where to buy them if they wanted them. This would have been in the VHS days, and I'm pretty sure it was Russ Meyer because I remembered him because the band Faster Pussycat was named after one of him movies.
I might go through my old Film Threat issues and see if I can find the interview.

Actually there was a point where some company was issuing the movies on laserdisc in the '90s and I had several of them.

Donnie Darko 4k Theatrical Cut has stuttering issues on some players. My copy wouldn't even load on the PS5 and stutters on the Xbox One S. I already requested a replacement from Amazon, but it seems like that will likely have the same issues. However, some people are able to watch it on their PS5s. So, maybe I got a janked disc aside from the known stuttering issue.

Yes, they've put out a notice about it. They're looking into it.
