I haven't seen Spawn since it was released on VHS I think. I like Michael Jai White, but I recall it was a bad movie. Not really sure I want to shell out $30+ for a 4K of it.

Your memory is correct. It's not a good movie. I wouldn't call it the worst summer movie but unless you are a giant Spawn fan there's not much going for it.

The CGI and effects for Spawn are just as bad as those in Mortal Kombat Anihilation.

I wouldn't mind revisiting In the Mouth of Madness but not at $45(+shipping).

The only downside here is that Fruit Chan’s contribution to the actual second film, DUMPLINGS, was expanded into a full-length feature and released separately, very successfully, and it’s every bit as good as the short from which it sprang. That really should’ve been included in this set, which makes me suspect Arrow might be holding it for a separate release.

DUMPLINGS (and yes, it is what you think it is, but also a whole lot more):

Re: The Official Arrow Films 4K/Blu-ray Discussion and Release Thread
Those are both excellent anthology horror films by top Hong Kong, Korean, Thai, and Japanese directors (and cinematographers). It’s arguably the most interesting release of this bunch because both films haven’t already been available on Blu-ray in the west before like pretty much everything else, and they may have flown under peoples’ radars during the DVD era. And, not surprisingly, they were released out of order by a couple of western labels when the second film got more critical notice outside of Asian film buff circles, so they renamed the first one THREE EXTREMES PART 2.

Is Arrow only releasing ITMOM in 4K? Will the Scream blu-ray be going OOP?

Yes only 4K no blu-ray... Seems to be the norm with Arrow releases. No idea on the Scream version. I have that one already.

In case you missed it in the Bargains forum, B&N's 50% off sale is live and runs through Sept. 14th. I've been picking up most of what I want along the way, so I think this one's just gonna be Deep Blue Sea and the TCM remake.
In other Arrow news, I just got the Dollars trilogy in the mail from Diabolik, and I had no idea how chonky the packaging would be! Between all three sets, that's easily double the width of Kino's UHD trilogy.

It's up for pre-order at the various indie seller shops. The Arrow webstore has an exclusive alternate artwork.

I prefer the classic poster art myself. I’m definitely buying the 4K trilogy set.

I decided to preorder the TMNT 4k set. I may change mind and cancel it but I haven't decided yet. We will see what the extras will be.

Classic art for me, but man I wish these were available separately. I have absolutely no need for 2 or 3.

First one is by far my favorite. The Secret of the Ooze is fine. Not my favorite anymore, but I loved it as a kid so there’s some nostalgia there. The third one though.. ugh. I watched that one a couple years ago to see how I feel about it as an adult and it’s not good.
