I think you have the wrong thread, or is Synapse part of one of these companies?

A few news tidbits for anyone who collects the MVD's various lines:
Sukiyaki Western Django (2007) will be released in June on BD. HD version of the Extended Cut will be a Special Feature on the BD.
Dahmer (2002) will be released on 8/11/20 on BD & DVD. It will be a new 4K master taken from the Original Camera Negative (Director-Approved).
Mikey (1992) will be released on 8/11/20 on BD.
Bloodfight (1989) & Ironblood (1992) will be released as a Double Feature BD on 8/11/20. No Special Features as they were cost prohibitive for these films.

4K UHD UPDATE:
Advanced sales on our ZOMBIE and MANIAC 4K UHDs are off to a strong start. The first pressings are already two-thirds sold out! If you're one of those collector's who really wants the slipcover, we suggest you order sooner rather than later.
So with this good news, we've made the decision to release a couple more of our 4K restorations on UHD this year. And going forward, select New Releases will debut as 4K UHD + Blu-ray combos! We've got at least 5 more 4K restorations in the works, so look for some exciting announcements soon!!

I think genre fans were starved for UHD content. Horror has easily been the most successful niche on Blu-ray with a rabid collector's demographic.

Ahhh the title has been updated to include Synapse. I say why stop there, lets throw everything against the wall and see what sticks. All dvd/blu-ray/4K in one thread.

Well, it has reduced the overall discussion of these labels considerably, so just think of all the internet they're saving for more relevant things, like TikTok.

On the new Shock Waves podcast, Blue Underground announced 4K remasters of Daughters of Darkness (with Atmos audio!), The Final Countdown, and Vigilante, each in varying stages of restoration. And hopefully some/all of these will be UHD/BD combos.
He also confirmed to Bloody Disgusting that the next two UHD titles are The New York Ripper and The House by the Cemetery.

Does Blue Underground bother licensing 'new' titles anymore, or do they just recycle their previous releases now? I wonder how long they can drag that out.

It’s been a couple of years, but the three Dick Maas films that came out near the end of 2017 hadn’t previously been released by Blue Underground, right?

Yup! If I'm not mistaken, Blue Underground hadn't released any of those films previously.

Well, they're pretty good films, so hopefully they'll build on that momentum . . .

Also, for anyone who is annoyed, I was the person who asked the Mods to add Synapse Films to this thread.
The old thread was closed, there was nowhere to discuss previous releases and no one else was doing anything about it

I would still like Arrow to be its own thread. Talk Sixteen Candles, OldBoy, stuff from other countries. It deserves its own, separate thread. Plain and simple.

On the other hand, rather than spin my wheels complaining, I've been doing my best to dig up information from all the various labels and post them here. Attempting to contribute.

re: MVD, Synapse, and Blue Underground Releases Masterthread
Definitely would like them to put out new titles we haven't seen before but if they don't for whatever reason, there are more than enough of these labels out right now that'll pick up the slack. Though, I could envision them keeping a similar model in continuing to re-release their older licensed films and once in a while releasing newly licensed films. Bill Lustig is sitting on quite a catalog of films. He'll be releasing Blue Underground's old stuff for a while.
Oh. and if anyone's curious, he says that authoring costs for Ultra HD Blu-ray are about 3X Blu-ray, and that replication is anywhere from 3X-4X. This doesn't include the costs of Atmos remixes, additional cleanup with UHD in mind, etc. And that's presumably why Blue Underground's UHD releases don't come with audio CDs or lenticular slipcovers as the 3-disc BD sets did...to keep costs down.

I've been listening to Bill Lustig on Shock Waves, and he addresses this. It's partially because of increased competition driving up prices, only wanting to release stuff he's extremely passionate about, and because he prefers to acquire films rather than license them.

I'll have to put in an order for the Maniac & Zombie 4Ks sooner than later.
Would love if the Maniac Cop series got the 4K UHD treatment.

Yup, episode 190.
I'm sure the sequels will, since Bill still holds the rights to those. I know he did 4K scans a good while back; not sure if the remasters were finished in 4K, though. He doesn't control the original, but if he was able to get his hands on it, I'm sure it'd get the UHD treatment too. He wasn't happy with Synapse's BD.

Didn't know that Bill wasn't happy with Synapse's BD of the first Maniac Cop film. I can't remember if he's based up here now (or if he has a partner that lives in Northern California) but previous to COVID-19, he was here frequently.
He did a Q&A after a screening of all the Maniac Cop films in San Francisco, CA back in 2014, which was a whole lot of fun.
I was also in attendance on the various times he did Q&A & Screenings for Maniac & Vigilante out in Sonoma County. One of those times, he called Robert Forster over speaker phone to answer some questions from fans in the audience.
