Behind the scenes documentaries have to be split now. They can't produce 2-2 1/2 hour films like they did in the past for BD and DVD releases. Otherwise you have to pay the actors as if they are making a movie. Short ones under 30 minutes only count as promotional material that the actors have to participate in as required in their contracts to promote the movie.

Well, if the Nolan 4K releases are any indication, the complete set will probably just bundle the four standalone releases as-is, without slipcases, inside a box with a Batman logo on it.
We're probably stuck with those.

That cover art is terrible. With no new bonuses I'm content with holding onto my 4 Film Favorites Blu-Ray until the box set drops to under $30ish.

My friend was also telling me that there’s going to be some anniversary showings of the Burton and Schumacher films. I’m going to try and see at least Batman theatrically as I’ve always wanted to see it on a big screen. Where I’m at the shows are in May.

A Fathom Events screening of all four Batman movies are on the way. I'll be going to Batman and Batman Returns.

The first Fathom events screening was this past weekend with the Original Batman. Batman Returns is tonight. It sounds like some of the sound effects might have been updated.

Missed the Fathom Events showing of Batman disappointingly. I would have had to have traveled for it and couldn’t get the day off. That’s been on top of my classic movies to see theatrically too so kind of a bummer as it was a perfect opportunity.

I have seen it twice theatrically in recent years plus I was there in 1989 to watch it on the big screen. I screwed up as I thought it played during the week but it was one day only.

I got to see it this weekend. I loved the updated sound effects, if we're being honest. I always hated the 1950's gun effects and bangs. I'm sure this will be controversial once this comes out, though i believe the original mix is going to be included

Yes the Fathom events showings are the remastered versions. I guess I have a reason to buy these new releases of Batman and Batman Returns. If it doesn't have the original audio that's a reason to hold on to the original bluray.

These Fathom events are playing at truly idiotic times. I want to see Batman Forever, but my theater is only showing at 1PM (and not the additional 4PM) on Mothers Day will make it tough.

Yes, it does have extras, it's just a repackaging of that Anthology (black box) set. 4 Blu-Ray discs in a standard sized Blu-Ray case with a slipcover. Picked it up at Target a few years back on sale for like $10 or $15.

Well today's showing would have been Batman Forever. It was fun watching it as a kid but I can't hardly watch it now. I can't imagine anyone will show up for Batman and Robin. Since Batman got a sound effects update I'm wondering if Burton did anything for Batman Returns as well.

I LOVE THE FIRST BATMAN FROM 1989. I HAVE THE LASERDISC, THE DVD, AND BLURAY, BUT, I DO WANT TO GET THE 4K OF 1989'S BATMAN....ONLY! TO ME, THIS WAS THE BEST...UNTIL THE RECENT BATMANS AND JOKER, WHICH I LOVED NICHOLSON AS THE JOKER, THOUGHT HE WAS THE BEST UNTIL HEATH LEADGER. PLUS...I LOVE ATMOS SOUND. IF ANYONE DOES NOT HAVE RECEIVER WITTH ATMOS (AND DTS:X), YOU ARE MISSING OUT, IT IS GREAT! IF PERSON DISAPPEARS OFF SCREEN TO THE LEFT AND IS RUNNING ON ROOFS, LIKE IN TOM CRUISE MOVIE, YOU DONT SEE THE PERSON BUT YOU HEAR THEIR FOOTSEPS IN THE UPPER LEFT SPEAKER ON THE CEILING! WAS WATCHING LAST JURASSIC WORLD MOVIE, DINOSAUR IS ON THE ROOF TO THE RIGHT OF THE SCREEN, YOU CAN HEAR THE DINOSAUR IN THE UPPER RIGHT SPEAKER ON THE CEILING. TOO BAD ALL THE BLURAYS DONT HAVE ATMOS - AS ALL (well, majority-most of) THE 4K MOVIES HAVE ATMOS SOUND NOW. THE ONLY WAY TO WATCH A MOVIE NOW...IN ATMOS/DTS:X, AND IN 4K. BUT ALSO STILL LOVE (watching) 3D...at home.
